Kirimaru sighed. After a long walk through the desert, he had finally made it to the cave marked on his map. It was more like a doodle of a circle, a dotted line, and an X. It was almost impossible to figure decipher the thing. He yawned a bit because he was bored. He took a peek inside the cave, he hoped that this mission was going to be a cakewalk like the other ones. However, they never really do. He growled in his head because he knew that there was one thing to fear in any cave, and that was a bat swarm. As Kirimaru peeked in he gasped. Full, packed with an army of mutts. Oh god, why me? he asked himself. He was actually feeling like he was going to be sick at the smell of the flea infested piles of annoying parasites known to be like a Man's Best Friend. He crept in after a cold shiver of disdain. He was using all of his mental energy to not puke at the smell. The thought of a dog's breath made him want to gag. He looked around anxiously hoping he could find the Dragon Jar and haul out of there extremely fast. Sadly, no mission was just easy enough to go in, grab something and turn it in. There was always some kind of twist that happened during a mission. As if the people who give the missions always know what could go wrong and sit back and pay the village to see who would stumble about like a fool and fall into every trap. And when they get back, they could just laugh at the ninjas who suffered for their entertainment. It actually ticked Kirimaru off. He breathed in as continued to creep around the cave. He crept along the cave. Ever slowly hoping that nothing would cause these beasts to awaken. The last thing that Kirimaru wanted to hear on this mission was a dog barking. His mind was already about to burst with hatred for the idiotic beasts. A single bark would unleash his rage. He was already trying deep breathing exercises to keep calm, as he crept through the cave. He looked around, he was begging to every holy figure that he figured could help him to let him find the Jar quickly. Kirimaru was already sailing smoothly through this mission. He figured out every single single step he could take already. All he was trying to attain was silence. He looked into the crowd of mutts. He then saw it. Being cuddled with by a Pit Bull, was the jar. It was unharmed, other than a little saliva. That little bit actually made Kirimaru reluctant to finish this mission. He snuck around the dogs, making sure sure he didn't step on tails or kick the things, as much as he wanted to. It was so stressful for him. There it was now. In arms reach only seperated by ferocious and probably tick infested paws. He hesitently reached for the Dragon Jar. He grabbed the handles of the jar. He pulled up, hoping the mutt would slide off with its oily fur. He actually wish it was a cave full of bears. At least they smelled better. He got a little resistance from the sleeping dog, but he got the jar free. He turned around to sneak around the dogs once more. He was home free if only he could make it past the dogs. Suddenly his stress and anxiety finally got to him. Just as he was about to make it past the dogs again and escape the mission scott-free, a sweat drop formed on his face. He snuck forward another step without realising it and the drop fell from his face. Suddenly seeing what was going to make his mission horrible, Kirimaru inwardly cursed his luck. He squeezed his eyes tight and the drop hit the ground with but a tiny ploop. Luckily for Kirimaru, every single one of these dogs were practically hibernating. THey were completely oblivious to anything around them. He quickly snuck around the last dog and did the fastest, but most silent run possible to do at the same time. As he reached the exit of the cave, he smiled. His mind swirled with hapiness. Without looking back, he walked through the exit and took a deep breath of the fresh desert air. It had felt like he was in there for hours. But it actually was a few minutes of a mission. He actually had an easy mission. Not a chunk of clay used. He was happy.
He delivered the Dragon Jar to the client and went to report his success.
