Quote:
Character: Hishirugi Maximillion
Training: x2 Physical Stamina
Method: All-Out Physical Exertion.
Reason: To better serve the Guren Clan and Iwagakure.
Logic: I was told I could "stat train" in essence, despite our not necessarily having official "stats". As such, I am going to count this as 5-point training, and to be graded as such.
Standing alone in the midst of the field some distance from Iwagakure, but well within the village's patrol boundaries. The Guren Clansman closed his eyes and concentrated his chakra. Using the ability to detect nearby chakras inherent in all higher-ranked Shinobi, Maximillion focused on trying to locate anyone who might be training nearby. He picked up on one or two, but they were so far away he couldn't even tell who it was, nor did he recognize them.
This meant that he was likely going to end up training alone, as usual.
Just as he'd said that, he suddenly heard a rustling nearby and he turned, brown eyes narrowing as he saw a figure clad entirely in black emerge from seemingly nowhere, glowing white eyes staring straight at him.
"You know, I'm not a weakling anymore, thanks to you. I know it's you."
The figure continued to stare, then chuckled, a puff of smoke revealing the form of the Chaos Sage.
"You always arrive when I am needing some training. One might wonder if you were in all reality spying on me, rather than arriving miraculously when I needed you."
Oddly enough, the Sage didn't seem to have much to say. In fact, he merely lowered himself into combat stance and stood opposite of Maximillion, his intent clear in his eyes.
"Then let's do this, shall we?" _________________

The two lunged at each other. Reidh threw a flurry of punches for Maximillion's face, but the ebony Iwa-Nin caught the rapid punches in his hands as if they were thrown at a far slower rate. The Sage lept into the air and aimed a flying kick for Maximillion's head, but Maximillion easily blocked it with his left arm.....only to be caught by the second foot which went crashing into his chest, sending him flying backwards.
Like a cat, he flipped around at the last second, both feet and one hand hitting the ground to slow his movement as he skidded through the wet grass. Before he'd even stopped completely, he'd reached into his pocket with his free hand and drew out ten seeds from his pocket. Channeling his chakra into them, they would suddenly sprout into small flowers, then suddenly harden and shape themselves into the form of the 'flower shuriken' of the Guren Clan, whirring through the air as they sailed towards the Chaos Sage, aiming at his various vital points.
A Kunai was drawn and the hardened, sharpened flower petals were knocked aside, but Maximillion was suddenly beside him, a kunai of his own drawn, aiming a thrust for the Sage's exposed ribs.
He struck home. _________________

The 'Sage' disappeared, leaving a log in it's place, but his resulting counterattack with the shuriken was deflected by Maximillion without the ebony shinobi's even looking behind him.
*I have begun to memorize your fighting style* is what another shinobi might say. Then again, many shinobi tended to become rather long-winded in the midst of battle, which often ended up either leaving them open, or them revealing a strategy to their opponant, at which point the opponant would suddenly bring out a secret, unknown technique that would take the loudmouthed shinobi by surprise.
He'd seen it enough times to know better than to emulate it. As the Sage came at him, Maximillion's -sixth sense- ~more his being fully in-tuned with his instinct than most ~ suddenly put him on edge and he performed a backwards somersault, avoiding the kick the Sage sent his way.....and thereby releasing a powerful surge of wind and chakra as the foot stopped and remained stationary, still glowing with the massive amount of chakra that'd been channeled into the kick.
~I see. So you're pulling out the stops now, aren't you?~ Maximillion thought to himself, staring down the man with a wary glance. He knew the Sage would probably never 100% let loose in a spar between the two of them, but he never assumed anything. After all, in the Shinobi Nations, a friend could easily become an enemy and vice versa. There was no telling what could happen in a matter of weeks, especially with relations between the other villages as fickle as they etnded to be. ~Well, I can do you one better."
His hands suddenly moved as he performed a series of hand seals quickly enough to actually make his hands blur as he moved through the three different Jutsus. The leaves from the trees a few feet away would suddenly pop off the tree limbs they were attached to and suddenly go soaring towards the Chaos Sage, aligning themselves so that they surrounded him first, then they sharpened, hardened then went sailing at him, while a small patch of flowers suddenly sprouted up around the Sage's feet, then they each simultaneously exploded with enough force to actually rock the earth around them.
Having, for once, underestimated the power of this Jutsu, Maximillion was actually sent crashing back into the ground, but he felt a slight touch of smugness in his heart as he spotted the Sage hitting the ground in a likewise fashion, likely surprised by the attack as well.
Sadly, one of the side-effects of surprising yourself with one of your attacks was that you could often surprise your enemy as well. Switching things up was a rather nifty technique, but it could become dangerous if you let it get out of hand. _________________

The Sage got up, and so did Maximillion, and both of their hands began to blur as they raced through the upcoming Jutsus. A torrent of leaves and flower shuriken would suddenly rage towards the Sage just as a torrent of senbon needles and kunai would soar towards Maximillion. As the two sets of weaponry hit each other, Maximillion drew Sujou out and struck the remaining airborne weaponry with strikes that weren't even seen, only the sparks his sword collided with the kunai and senbon. He was slowly moving backwards, pacing himself with the rhythm and pace he was deflecting the barrage with, and finally knocked the last senbon needle into the air with Sujou, then measured the geometry, space and wind current between the two Shinobi then struck the senbon at just the right angle to send it soaring straight back towards the Sage, while simultaneously sheathing his sword and performing a few hand seals.
The senbon needle was, as expected, deflected....but not before six vines shot up from the ground and wrapped themselves around the Sage's legs. At the same time, following another flurry of hand seals, a deep, black cloud suddenly formed around Maximillion and the Sage's location, but Maximillion dashed backwards, narrowly avoiding the stream of hot oil that came pouring down in the form of rain around the Sage. It took one second for Maximillion to strike a match and hurl it into the fray before using the Body Flicker to relocate a hundred feet away just as the tremendous explosion rocked the space around the two of them. _________________

The ensuing fire would've spread and consumed the entire area if Reidh hadn't performed a series of Jutsu that doused the flames, but clearly not to preserve the land around them.....but to conjure his own Mizu Bunshin, which suddenly rose from the water puddles on the ground, blurring towards Maximillion. At the same time, Sujou was drawn out of it's sheath and was hurled towards the clones like a boomerand, crashing into four out of five of the clones, then slicing into the ground and remaining there. The fifth clone would grin with glee as it aimed a punch for Maximillion's face, but would stop short as Sujou suddenly cut through it's body, and landed handle-first in Maximillion's palm, being sheathed simultaneous to the clone dispersing.
A look of surprise was actually elicited from the Sage by this particular maneuver, but it wasn't going to stop the fight.
No....it had only just begun.. _________________

The fight actually ended up lasting a full sixteen hours, and by the time it had come to a conclusion, both Maximillion and the Chaos Sage were sweating profusely and breathing heavily. Maximillion was crouched low catching his breath, and the Chaos Sage was leaning against a nearby tree, a tired look to his face.
The two stared at one another for a long time, as if communicating with one another without words. Then, without another word, the Chaos Sage walked over to where he'd sat down the human-sized scroll and strapped it around his torso again, performed a single hand seal and summoned a large pheonix. Hopping on top of it, he gave Maximillion a singular nod before taking off into the air and disappearing into the early morning sky.
With a nod aimed at the Sage's departing figure, Maximillion sheathed Sujou and straightened to his full 6'7" height, shook the grass and leaves from his afro, then began the long walk back towards Iwagakure. There was so much left to do, but plenty of time for it to be done.
Enough time, for example, to go and have himself a couple of bowls of ramen before he headed off to complete his To Do List.
Look at the "Find a Moderator" topic. I was told I could train my character's Physique (a term I use in place of "physical stats", since we have none) and that I could still earn those "stat" boosts, just to post it as Point Training.
When I posted in the "Find a Moderator" thread, Syra (or Kats, I always confuse the two) stated that it didn't really require Moderator attention, then went onto the other posts.
As such, I went ahead and just posted the training's conclusion then went about my business.
