Description: A genjutsu technique that effectively blinds the user's the enemy. Total darkness engulfs them, and they can see nothing but their own body. The caster can then freely attack their enemy in this state with no tremendous worry of a counter-attack, unless the enemy is extremely talented. If the user is caught while still casting this technique, the jutsu is immediately dispelled.

Background: Birthed during the beginning of Kirigakure by the former Gryphon Boss, Genkou; Basara was born of ice rather than wind as his father had been, and was decidedly given to the Shodai Mizukage and because of this, the link with Kirigakure was strong. Basara grew with the Mizukage who took great care of him and taught him of how a true leader should be, kind and compassionate. Basara became an official 'Summon Beast' after the death of the Shodai Mizukage and his replacement - a bloodthirsty shinobi. The scroll that sealed Basara was hidden from the second Mizukage and was instead given to the Shouten Family by the Shodai's servant. Rin's father was the one who obtained the Gyphon Contract soon after becoming the Clan Lord. By then, Basara has become Boss Summon of the contract.
