Hand Seal ScrollIntorduction to Hand Signs
In Naruto, the shinobi of various village first perform hand seals most of the time and combine their chakra to perform Jutsu. Jutsu in japanese literally means, "Technique" or "Spell". Jutsu are a Shinobi's main weapon throughout the series.
The Hand Sign's
Seal #1: Hitsuji
Also known as the Ram Hand seal. If you ever watchined the Anime or read the Manga you would see that this Sign is literally the main hand sign. This sign has been used to gather or mold chakra within the naruto Series.
Seal #2: Tora
Also known as the Tiger Hand seal. In the Manga and Anime this Sign has been officially classified to be associated with Fire Element, or Katon.
Seal #3: Mi
Also known as the Serpent hand seal. In the Anime and Manag, though many have not realized, but this hand seal has been officially classified to be associated with the Earth Element.
Seal #4: Ne
Also known as the Rat hand seal. In the Anime and Manga, as you have probably noticed, Nara Shikamaru aswell as other Nara Clan Members use this to iniate their shadow Jutsu.
Seal #5: Ushi
Also known as the Ox hand seal. This is the first hand seal needed to be learned in-order to perform Chidori.
Seal #6: Tatsu
Also known as the Dragon hand seal. If you looked closely, this was the second hand seal created when Sasuke first performed Katon:Ryuuka no Jutsu on Orochimaru.
Seal #7: Tori
Also known as the Bird hand seal. This was the final hand seal in the huge string of hand seals that Zabuza and kakashi made when they both used Suiton: Suiryuudan on Each other.
Seal #8: U
Also known as the Rabbit hand seal. This is the second hand seal performed when Kakashi and Sasuke use their Chidori or Raikiri.
Seal #9: Uma
Also known as the Horse hand seal. This along with Tora was what Sasuke used when he firsted showed katon: Goukakyu No Jutsu in the Anime.
Seal #10: Saru
Also known as the Monkey hand seal. This is the final hand seal Kakashi and Sasuke use when they perform Chidori/Raikiri.
Seal #11: Inu
Also known as the Dog Hand seal. In the First Naruto Movie,Naruto: Daikatsugeki! Yukihime Ninpoucho! & Konoha Undoukai, the Ice Shinobi apparently used this Sign to use thier Ice Element techniques, or Hyouton. Though, it has not yet been officially called the Ice Element Hand seal.
Seal #12: I
Also known as the Boar hand seal. In the Manga and Anime, Sakura often called Ino a "Pig" or "Boar". As a result, now you understand what she meant.
