Warhammer 40k RP?

Yeah, I was playing Soul Storm (the latest game of Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War series) and thinking about NRC the other day, and I had this idea about making a WH40k RP. It will be definitely hard to make, but I'll do my best etc

So, your thoughts on the subject, or maybe some suggestions how it can be made?

... Except it's nothing like Warhammer. One's a tabletop game, one's a gigantic MMORPG. Big difference.

Personally I think it's an excellent idea, and I can see you attracting a lot of people to it. However you'll need to be as accurate as possible for the canon races and what not; if I were you I would start downloading the manuals. I could see it as a large battle kind of thing; you RP on different planets. However, instead of the actual game, I would start moving towards a more open style in which your allegience wouldn't be with your race, rather than who's you choose (or that of which you made yourself).

Anyways, I think I can work out a role-playing system for this pretty soon. Handling battles will be a real pain, but above all, individuals don't matter much in a battle, and a strategy RP makes little sense (and even less fun imo). Yeah, that's actually it. The rest is a matter of time, making the RP work while not straying too far from the universe is the problem.

That would be flippin awesome. If you need any help from this 40K-er (particularly with Greenskins), I will gladly help out.

As for making an effective RP with it, it should be doable. There IS a D20 system for it, after all (though only imperials). Freebooters/Rogue traders would allow players to play what they want (sans Alpha-level psykers, heh) while still sticking to a sturcture/adventures/what-have-you.
