Personally, I dont believe this power can be fair at all...I suppose we could just not Rp our thoughts of what we are about to do, but that would lead to totally random courses of action.

Not to mention that people usually think to themselves about what they are about to do, and since nobody knows you are a mind reader they would think to themselves about their plans, basically nulling any advantage we might have over you.

In addittion to this, Mind Reading is like an uber Sharingan, except it works for everything, not just Tai, Nin, and Gen jutsu. How are we supposed to fight you when you know every move we are going to make before we even start making it? We cant, and with a power like that there is absolutely no way it can not be overpowered.

Basically I vote a no here, though it doesnt really matter what I think, simply because there is no way to counter mind reading unless you are so far beyond the skill of the reader you outclass them in every other way.

On second thought, I suppose that it could take enormous concentration, and therefore not be usable in battle, meaning youd only be able to mind read outside of a fight, but that is the only circumstances I would figure mind reading being fair.

Mind reading would simply not work. There is nothing to read. You may be able to know what they are about to do by the way of which their muscles move (which you can't discern before it happens), or you are trying to determine what they're thinking. Thought is not transmitted on any frequency, or in any way for the human mind to be detected. Muscles, however, receive signals from the mind, which are possible to be detected ( I don't know how, but this is Naruto). Memories, of course, can't be projected in any way shape or form. However, that would seem less god- moddish.

He shouldn't have mind reading he should say in his background that he loses his power to do that and thats the end of it.

How about you can sense what people are thinking, instead. You could be able to guess if they're tense (about to attack) or if they're hiding something. It's a little less god-moddish, but still ties in with what you are doing.

OMFG. I knew it was bad when I talked to you in bio today, Gaara, but I didn't know it was this bad. I think mind reading is unfair, but if you use it the right way, like in last ditch effort or for missions that have you gathering information, its not god-mod. Your using your means to justify the end. Still; sensing what people do is good too.
BTW Gaara, you gotta learn to defend yourself better. Your kinda bad at arguing like this.

You guys make this too much of a big deal. If Lava and Zieg accepted the mind read, you can too. Whining about this proves that you can't accept the reality that even mind reading has its faults. You can give misinformation in your thoughts, then do something completly different, catching him off guard. Or, you can rely entirely on your instincts, making his mind reading useless.
