An Itichi in Training

It was a technique to greatly increase the shinobi's speed towards a certain location, it could be seen by those untrained in the shinobi arts as if the person had disappeared. It was in all honesty a very basic ninjutsu technique, but perhaps it may help the Itichi in the upcoming exams, that was the idea anyway, if he could move faster than his opponent then there would be little chance for them to be able to strike him, which of course was always helpful. Sakumo rolled the scroll back up to its original position and placed it back into his pocket, it appeared that shunshin used chakra throughout the body to increase the speed.

The Itichi brought both hands together and began to concentrate his chakra, focussing it throughout his body, making sure that it was spaced nicely in his limbs. "Right!" He said aloud and attempted to move at the speeds which shunshin allowed, his eyes were closed while he did this and he did indeed feel the wind rush through his hair as if he had just moved at those incredible speeds. However when he opened his eyes it apeared as if he had not moved at all, the genin blinked "Guess it must have just been a strong breeze" He said sheepishly.

The young ninja's brow furrowed as he concentrated, he had faile din his first attempt at the shunshin no jutsu, it was more difficult than he had expected...An irritating occurence. But then something clicked in his mind, "Why would I need to spread my chakra out all over my body when the only body parts that will really increase speed are my legs!" With this new realisation the genin grinned and clapped his hands together, ready now to perform the shunshin. "Okay!" He said as his chakra had gathered throughout his legs. The genin suddenly disappeared from sight, looking a few feet over to a nearby tree, one could see the Itichi grinning on one of the high branches.

Sakumo cast his mind back to a week prior when he had first met his now mentor, the Tsuchikage, Yasuo Amano. He remembered sitting before the Meorium in the forested section of the village eating some of the food the kage had prepared for himself.
~ Yasuo then took out a small sheet of blank paper and looked at the genin with a smile "I think...That if I am going to be your teacher, I need to find out some more about you Sakumo" The genin looked at the older man with a strange look "What do you want me to do?" He asked and the kage smiled, he handed the paper to the Itichi "Just concentrate your chakra while you're holding that piece of paper...It will tell me alot, and let me find out how much I can really help you"~

Sakumo smiled as he remembered, when he channeled his chakra into the paper it had almost immediately crumpled. This had shocked the genin at the time but Yasuo had merely laughed, he had said that it meant he had the lightning element within him and that this discovery was good news as the kage also had that elemental affinity. So here he was now, trying to learn his first elemental jutsu, he could see how much more powerful these jutsu were than what he was used to and what he had already seen, it appeared that the lightning element was perfectly suited to him aswell, quick, efficient and effective.

The little shinobi leaped down from his perch in the tree to the grassy floor below him and looked at the scroll again. He had to focuss his elemental chakra and concentrate it into his hands, then release it as a beam of energy. Simple enough to read but it was an entirely different matter when it came to actually using it, the Itichi scratched the back of his neck as he looked up to the sun which was now high in the sky, the hottest part of the day had dawned upon him and it only made training more difficult. Sakumo then breathed hard and closed his eyes, relaxing himself so that he could properly focus.

Feeling truly focussed the ninja clapped his hands together and began to gather his chakra from throughout his entire body, he could feel his hair begin to rise as the air around him became dense with chakra. As he stood perfectly still the winds around him now began to violently blow around the genin, he could feel the strength of it blowing his clothes and hair. At the last second as his chakra reached its maximum the Itichi's eyes snapped open to find himself surrounded by his own blue chakra, but this was not important, what was important was how to use it.

The genin opened both his hands and held them out with the palms of each pointing towards a large rock "Thunder Crusher!" He roared as the chakra which was swirling around him now dissipated into the Itichi's hands and condensed, creating two powerful orbs of lightning which each then released the chakra stored within them as a huge beam of energy exploded from the genin's hands. The force of the blast knocked the youth back through the air a few feet, there was a loud explosion just before he hit the ground with a substantially quieter thud.
