Kirimaru walked out of the village with a piece of parchment, it had a circle with a little castle in it that stood for Sunagakure. It was his job for a while to map out the entire desert. He was going solo because he knew he was probably going to be the fastest for it. There have been a reported increase in Sandstorms lately. He was a little worried and checked his clay stock. As long as there were no bandits or rogue ninjas around, it was a stressful but Kirimaru was a little low on clay nowadays. He managed to scoop together 100 Points worth of Clay. He sighed and walked a little bit until he realised that it was going to be a long mission without a certain technique used.

Kirimaru dug into his clay pouch and sighed. He hesitently took out 50 Points of clay into his clay mouth and quickly charged it with chakra. His mouth coughed it up a few moments later, and Kirimaru nodded. He tossed the big wad of clay up into the air and made a handseal and a huge poof erupted out, when it cleared up, it revealed a huge, thin spiraling dragon. It had wings and stuff like that, but no legs. He sighed and took out an ink pen and hopped on the dragon's neck and it took off. First route, from the Konoha area. Kirimaru flew over the desert at a fast rate. He was trying to follow a flat path. Winds seemed to kick up a little. But from his height, all he could see was a little bit of swirling sand. He pulled a bit to the left. Marking his trail on the map, he flew across everything. He hadn't seen anything this entire portion of the trip. Good thing, he was having a little issue with how he was going to dirct any lost travelers. Hopefully most people stick to the trails and get to the village. He hoped he wouldn't run across any for the time being.

Kirimaru flew above the desert. He suddenly saw a few little dots on the yellow sand. He quickly lowered himself down to the ground and got a better look. He saw a group of people, probably travellers laying completely drained of energy. One looked up and practically begged for water. Kirimaru had a canteen with him at the time so it would be good enough for them. He then pointed the men in the right direction and they practically sprinted towards the village. Kirimaru sighed and got back to mapping.

Flying over the desert was a very bland experience. All he did was look at the ground and kept direction. THe onlything that was helping him stay awake at the moment was the fact that he was on a mission and he was drawing a map. He was becoming tired and the sky was darkening. However, he was very close to to a village in Fire Country. He didn't have too much to do with the mission and his mind was starting to make him black out a bit. He made the map the rest of the way to the edge of the desert and hurried to rest. He landed and decided to rest there. He kept his mount formed and went to sleep.
