"My thoughts exactly... but it'll still take about a week to do the whole mission, as it takes roughly three days to get between Suna and Konoha. Best get started ASAP... I'll meet you at the village gate, see ya there." Ryuzaki then used Konoha Shunshin to puff away and dash off to the village gate, where he waited for Sasorimaru and Jikota to show up.

The two shinobi took off on foot toward the gate. Jikota did not know Shunshin no Jutsu, and Sasori figured it was best for at least them two to stick together. They walked through the unusually busy streets, and found their way towards the gate.

Sasori: "You would think a Jounin would know better than to split up once a mission has started, even in the same village, unless absolutely necessary. By the way, you still got that dagger I gave you? I spent quite a bit of time on it. I hope you didn't drop it." He knew Ryuzaki had not dropped it, or the explosion would have been audible and visible even from where he and Suzak were sparring.

Jikota: "Don't start anything, Sasori-san. We need to leave any personal matters out of this." Jikota was concerned that Sasori might turn on Ryuzaki in the middle of a battle, though he knew Ryuzaki would do no such thing.

"Sorry, but I thought you might have wanted to grab something before we left, so I split us up to give you time." Ryuzaki last recalled burying the dagger in the desert because he thought it was dangerous, so he lied about it. "The dagger? I think I leave it at home. Why do you ask?" He then turned to Jikota after what what he had to say. "That's true, Kozou... Let's not fight amongst ourselves. We'll save that for the bad guys." He then went through the gates and began to run at a fair pace, enough for them to keep up without much trouble, expecting the others to follow.

Sasori knew instinctively that Ryuzaki was on to the dangerousness of the dagger by the tone of his voice, but he himself let nothing show. "Oh good, I wouldn't want you to inadvertently break it. Not after I spent to much time and effort crafting it."

The two genin followed Ryuzaki through the gates and made their way along at a fair pace. Jikota and Ryuzaki could go much faster than this, and though Sasori was easily keeping up, he figured if their pace increased substantially, he would fall behind. One was a jounin, and the other was a taijutsu specialist that he suspected was pretty fast.

On the other hand, they were going at a good pace, and would make it to Konohagakure no Sato on the third or fourth day if they ran into no detours.

"Yeah, I figured that as much... Anyway, Is this speed alright? I'd hate to go too fast for ya, but I want to go as fast as possible. Think the both of ya can handle going a bit faster?" As a Jounin, Ryuzaki's current pace was relative to that of a low jog compared to his top speed. Even though he was poor at Taijutsu for a Jounin, All jounin have to be at a minimum level of Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu... All slightly above average Chunnin-level skill. He could defiantly outrun any Genin, even if they were highly skilled in Taijutsu.

Toramaru thought for a moment before answering. "If our speed increases significantly, I don;t think I could keep up the pace for long, as I'm not a taijutsu specialist, though I think we can increase the pace a bit."

Then Jikota answered. "This is nothing to me. I could at least double the speed and maintain it." There was no bragging in his tone, just simple fact.

"Ok, since you think you can handle it, we're going to increase the pace a bit... Don't be afraid to say if we're going too fast." He then turned his way back forward and increased the pace by a small amount. It won't make a big difference, but it's enough to cut off at least several minutes in their total trip time.

Sasori and Jikota both increased pace along with him, and Sasori still had a relatively easy time keeping up. His speed may not be great, but he had good stamina. Jikota seemed unconcerned about the speed increase and just went along as easy as if he were out for a walk.

"This pace is fine," Sasori said a minute later. "I should be able to keep it up at least until nightfall, if not longer."

occ: well I really dont want to have you guy's fight untell you get to konoha but i can do some other thing's. like random event's to keep you busy during the dessert if you want.

Ic: (RANDOM EVENT): Suddenly the wind started to pick up and start blowing toward's the group of shinobi. it was a cold wind something that shouldnt exist in the middle of the dessert. what is the meaning of this? The wind started to increase in speed and create small dust devil's and slipping of sand's on the dune's randomly around the dessert.

Ryuzaki began to realise that the wind was picking up around him. "Looks like a sandstorm might be on the way... we best pick up the pace to try and outrun it... Sasori, climb up on my back! If I carry you, both me and Jikota can run much faster, and in case a tornado or something comes at us, you have your wind jutsu to blow it away. You do know wind jutsu, right? Or do you only carry that giant fan around for decoration?"
