There was a deep moment of silence as Arekkusu looked at him with the small gleam in his eyes intensifying with the glow of the fading sun. He wasn't sure what Blood had meant and trying to comprehend was taking more out of him then he wanted to admit. He gave a small yawn as his tiny frame was running out of energy and he would have to rest. He looked down and then back up.

"What do you mean bring you faith? How can I do something like that? It's not something you normally tell someone. I don't understand. I'm dizzy."

Arekkusu said as he wobbled and fell back on his behind and looked up wide eyed.

"Sorry, i'm not feeling well." He laughed as he took an herb from his pocket and ate it.

Blood shrugged and walked over to the child. He had not noticed at first but this one seemed more frail than the average person his age. Blood studied him for a moment before picking him up and placing him in the piggy-back position.

" We'll make better time this way and you can sleep," He said, avoiding the original topic. Arrekusu might not understand but he would one day. It would not be wise to push him until he was mature enough to truly understand.

Arekkusu looked on confused and amazed for a moment. From what he could tell. Blood was not really a sociable person and he didn't let others around affect him as much. But this complete turn around made him feel uneasy and he looked on wide-eyed but would not contest. It was a long while since he slept last and didn't want to miss the opportunity again. He nodded to Blood and yawned softly. He rested his head on Blood's right shoulder as the winds continued to blow against them and the sun fading down.

"Thank you... I... guess." He faded into his sleep.

Blood smiled softly yet managed to grunt through it. The weight of the boy was more than he had expected; luckily Blood was heavily muscled from carrying enormous water jugs for his village. He closed his eyes and attempted to erase the memories. Everywhere he went they seemed to resurface and open old scars.

He journeyed deep into the night, long after the sun had set and the world turned frozen. The night air brought upon the sounds of the wilderness rising from the baked and deadened earth but Blood took no heed of it. Nature did not affect the Blood, no matter if he wished to be or not.
