The night had fallen on the Land of the Waves and even so much further away in the forest some miles away. There was a tent set up in a small clearing where Aya slept and two girls were up guarding her. Moriko was slowly sharpening her Wakizashis and her Kunais to ensure they remained as sharp as possible. She looked at the charm around her neck and then put it back beneath her shirt as she continued her task. The sounds of the night were now crawling into their minds and became louder then their thoughts in the silence.

Tatsumi was thinking to herself, leaning against a tree nearby, looking at the night sky, and listening to the song of night. 'It is peaceful here' she thought, as she looked at her ally. She didn't understand at all why they had to stop, but it figured it was probably so they could avoid getting caught off gaurd and tired. She yawned softly, before standing up, and doing some low straing martial arts stretching to keep her mind awake. She controlled her breathing with the slow movements, as she moved gracefully along the ground, but kept silent during the exercise.

Moriko looked up from her spot and looked at the stars again as the night sounds had begun to make her think heavily of her past which she wanted to forget at the moment. She sighed as the tears began to come from her eyes and she looked down as the weapons in her hands fell from them. The clanging metal brought visions of what could have been. Visions of what already was and yet to be. She yelled out into the night sky with a high pitch and then began to feel her stomach softly as she looked down and away.

Tatsumi had been focusing hard when she heard Moriko yell. She looked over to see the tears coming from the young womans eyes, sparkling in the moonlight. Slowly she walked over and got down to sit next to her. "Are you ok?" she asked softly, her eyes in concern for the other kunoichi, as she looked at the other one. She seemed confused as to why the tough exterier had shattered so suddenly for her, but knew some people just needed to let it out at times.

"Forgive me. I had forgotten where I was for a moment. I will let you rest now as it is almost time for us to move on and finish this mission. Please take you moment of rest soon as you will need your strength. And do not worry about me as I know the flora here well and can find some herbs that will revitalize me." Moriko said as she forced a smile and then laughed as she got up and began looking around for some herbs. As she did, she thought back in her mind to what she had done to herself and her family.

Tatsumi took Moriko's word, as she yawned again, and layed back near the tent, slowly drifting as she listened. "I hope you will be ok, Moriko" She mumbled in her sleepy state as she fell into a restful sleep, even if it would be short, she would not be moving slower than she already does.
After a while, the light sounds of her sleeping was all around her, quiet as she breathed, her body keeping curled up for warmth. She couldn't imagine what her dreams held, but was happy to have had them.

Moriko sighed a bit as she looked away from the cam ground and sat looking at the stars above. "I..." She looked down at her stomach. "... destroyed my seed. I made sure my evil would never infect this world and I will make sure no other evil that has infected my life will live. I promise that much." Moriko said as she lifted her shirt and revealed a long scar across her stomach. She ran her finger along the scar and began to tear softly as she put the shirt back down and then wiped her tears away. "One day..." She said as she waited.

- Following Morning -

Moriko and Aya had been awake packing up to move on.

"Shall we wake her?" Aya asked.

"No. We shall move on." Moriko said as Aya agreed silently. The two grabbed their things and moved on.

After a half hour, the white haired girl woke up, seeing nothing was familiar. There was grass on the ground and tree's all around, and no one around. "Where am I, and where are they?" She asked, yawning and stretching, unsure of what had happend, she leaped up to her feet, and started walking down the path, she wasn't sure where she was, but she had hope of finding them.

She came up slowly, noticing them in the distance, she thought, as she moved as quickly as she could. She wasn't all that fast, but she knew that if she didn't catch up, she will be left behind and maybe lost.

Moriko looked at Aya as the two continued along the path towards the small village. Moriko looked back and sighed as she noticed Tatsumi not so far behind him. She looked forward and then began to speak loudly so that Tatsumi could hear her clearly. "Hurry up and run. We're almost done with this mission and I wouldn't want you to no get paid because It would be a waste. And I know you did not waste all your time coming her for nothing." Moriko said as Aya sighed once more and looked at the Konoichi. "We're almost done, Aya." Moriko said to the woman who nodded.

"Thank you." Aya responded.

Tatsumi put all her effort into catching up, unsure of what else to do. It didn't help that she was slow, but she wouldn't let that stop her. She soon caught up, and though warn out slightly, wasn't nearly want out enough to fall behind. "This mission is almost over?" She asked, almost sounding dissapointed.

She listened to the sounds around them, as they got closer to the land of waves, not sure of what to do other than, She had slowly regained her breath, but also wouldn't stop to catch it. She would not fall back till the mission was done. She didn't want to appear weak to Moriko.
