Another day on the move... We've been travelling for over a week now, and I feel we're getting closer to our target. I am really anxious to see my mother, but I have concerns about it, too. Seriously, my father wants to kill her, it's quite obvious, and he must have his reasons. I think Rose realizes his intentions, too. But it was kind of hard to tell what she was thinking these past days. Speaking of which, I can't believe Sol is really my father! Surely, his story seems truthful, and his actions back it up, but not having any parents since I remember myself, and now finding out that they're both alive, and even more, being reunited with them... it's a lot to take in. He isn't acting much like I would expect a father to though. I guess he feels guilty for not finding us sooner, and also realizes that we are not children anymore, and are around the age when people leave their parents' house.

To tell the truth, I am enjoying this journey. It's kinda like a family camping trip. Of course, not all is as I wish it was... For example, father and Ukyo-sensei. The tension between them is at an explosive level. I wonder what makes them so hateful towards each other. Speaking of Ukyo-sensei, I wonder what he is thinking. Why is he doing all of this? For what purpose? What is his goal, if any? These questions remain without answers. I probably shouldn't worry so much about it... but one thing that seriously worries me is Rose's new gauntlet. Just looking at it makes shivers run down my spine. I told Ukyo-sensei about my concerns, and he agreed that the thing had something bad about it. However, he wasn't able to learn anything about it, and promised me to keep an eye on Rose.

Sensei also said that we would reach our destination soon, but insisted we rest here this night. Is he foreseeing something that he doesn't want to tell us? If so, what could it be? Another thing that bothers me is Kaeor's crow. I never really liked him, and I don't want him spying on us, especially in this matter.

The sun is setting... that means sensei should be back soon. Every evening he turns into a wolf and goes hunting for us. It allows us not to worry about food. It's also a cool technique. I'd want to learn that one day. What is a creepy about it though is that he also eats in his wolf form. He takes a piece of his catch and eats it raw. Considering he is actually a human, it creeps me out. Well, he probably has to eat and restore energy in that form as a token for using it...

Rosu closed her journal and put it in her backpack. She started a journal after her and Saya's "visit" to the SHEF. She was mostly recording her thoughts, not actual events. Ukyo said it was silly, to keep a journal, but she shrugged it off. One of the many things she learned from him was that she shouldn't always listen to him.

Ukyo ran through a nearby groove, a young deer, already dead, in his teeth. His paws hit the ground softly as he moved almost soundlessly. The others might find it strange that he would hunt in his wolf form, but they couldn't understand the thrill of chase and the taste of fresh blood in their mouth. The deer were good prey - juicy and tasty, as if they were bred here.

The wolf headed back towards their camp, where Sol had already made a fire. It was really easy for him - he could even keep it running without any wood, but u sing his energy to keep it alive through the night was troublesome and unneeded. The bounty hunter took the animal from the wolf's teeth after it separated a large piece for itself. Sol couldn't understand him. Why would Ukyo eat raw meat as an animal when he could eat roasted meat as a human? It probably had something to do with the vampires' lust for blood. But wasn't their lust only for human blood? He did not know.

However, that was not the only thing Sol didn't know about the whole thing. Ukyo didn't feel any real lust for blood, but he knew animal blood could partially satisfy it if he did. He didn't blame Rosu and Sol as they shot him weird looks - they could not understand what the taste of fresh meat and blood was like. Sometimes he himself wondered if he only enjoyed it because of his wolf transformation, or was his human taste involved too? Either way, there was another thing he kept secret from them. He saw the condition Saya was in, and he knew what she must have felt like. He's gone through something similar himself. So every night, he saved some of the raw meat for her, in case she felt like putting her teeth into something with blood.

As the sun set, silence fell over the world around them, and remained within the campfire light. Nobody really had anything to talk about. They were all set on tomorrow, when all their roads will come to an end, or at least a milestone.

Saya sat around the fire that her father had created for them all. She had not eaten for a few days now and had little to drink. The thought of eating food, or if she did indeed try to eat food made it feel like ash was in her mouth. She was realizing that there was a need for blood. Ever since having taken Kaeor's blood, she knew that was going to need it. Food no longer held its old appeal and she wanted to become more in tune with her bloodline. She wanted to think of her as more than just some monster. Maybe accepting that she her bloodline was her bloodline, then she might be able to accept that she was not a monster, just different, different because of her blood. She could not blame either of her parents for that because neither had a say in it really.

Thoughts burned in her mind as she thought about the days previous, 'Father wants mother dead, I can easily figure that one out, and I can only guess it is because of the fact that she took his daughters from him and left him for dead. But Rera can not be that bad could she? I can't deny it really...I have yet to meet her. I just don't want to beleive it.' Saya paused and looked at the bird on her shoulder. She extended a hand and it jumped on her finger so that she could look at it as she thought, 'Kaeor...you watch over me even if you are not here. With this bird I know for a fact that you are keeping track of me. I am not a little girl anymore though, and my business is my own. I can not let this bird or you hear what I learn from my mother...I might reveal it to you in time I guess.' She stopped and petted the little bird with a little pinky and smiled at it, 'I don't care what happens. Ukyo seems to always want to play the badboy and doesn't seem to care about anyone. So why does he leave me a bloody piece of meat every night? He has to have some sort of heart in there. Who knows, he might become someone I can stand. If only in small doses.' Saya laughed quietly at her thoughts. It was mean to think, but she thought them anyways, it didn't hurt to laugh every now and then.

She felt the Mikougake push at her mind, and pain stabbed from her wrist. She stared at the glowing appendage on her arm and could only grab her arm to keep the glow from being seen by someone. She let the bird return to her shoulder and looked at Sol and Rosu. She knew Ukyo would be coming soon with something to eat, but she could not stand the thought of taking blood from a dead being. Unknowingly she would prefer the fresh blood from a willing host. She did not know any way to ask someone wihtout making it awkward. Ukyo had given her blood from his own body...maybe she could ask him for some. He would know it was her nature.

Saya sighed and brought her knees closer to her chest and stared at the fire. She would not ask him with Rosu and Sol so close. It would seem unnatural to them. Well it would seem unnatural to Sol the most, but she guessed that eventually he would accept her needs. Rosu should already know them but she wanted to do something as taking blood from Ukyo in private. She would leave soon, when everyone else was asleep. But she needed Ukyo for that, and she hoped that he would accept to take her alone in the night. Saya was a night person anyways. And if she could guess anything about her mother, then it was that she would be awake in the middle of the night as well. So Saya waited, not even looking at the bloody meat that was being made to eat.

The camp was silent, even too silent, Rosu thought. Everybody was tense. She was tense because of meeting her mother tomorrow, and what she was going to do about her father wanting to kill her. Saya was most likely worrying about the same thing, and she also hadn't eaten anything for a long time. Rosu wondered why, but could find no answer. Then again, her sister wasn't stupid, and she decided if she hadn't eaten, it was for a good reason. Sol was tense about finally having found the woman he wanted to kill for so long. Ukyo... well, she wasn't sure about him, ever. But he seemed tense. What was he worried about? Nothing of much importance to him seemed to be happening. So why was he so nervous?

Sol was thinking about tomorrow, and remembering the past. Even though they were together for only about two years, he had a lot of memories with Rera. After they met, they shared everything - joy, sadness, trouble, adventure. With their way of life, they had nobody but each other. They had to fight for everything - food, water, their lives. It was after they "broke up" that Sol learned she was a very wealthy and powerful person. He punched the ground, frustrated at his own thoughts - he realized that deep inside, he still loved her. How did all of that just crash one day? He thought back to the day when he figured it all began. They were cornered and overwhelmed. They were going to die, along with their newborn daughters. But then she suddenly changed, and a great power could be felt emanating from her. She killed all of their enemies. It was like a miracle... but he never expected what it would end like. Since that time, she started using that hidden power more and more often, and with every use, she became a little colder and further away from him. And then, one night, she left.

Ukyo finished his dinner and transformed back into a human. He smirked, noticing the grim mood in the camp. It was to be expected, and there was nothing he could really do about it, even if he wanted. He tried being considerate towards Saya, leaving her some raw meat every night, but it wasn't really working. Her condition was worse than he imagined. It could be a problem, a very serious one. Why would it concern you? It's not like it's your problem. You are not the one who is going to become addicted. Why are you asking me that when you know the answer? I don't need your help to understand myself. He walked closer to Saya and bowed slightly, saying: Care for a little walk? He felt Rosu and Sol's stares on his back as he started walking away from the fire, expecting Saya to follow him.

He stopped about two hundred feet away from the camp, a little way into the nearby groove, having decided it was enough distance for Rosu and Sol not to see what would happen or hear what would be said. After Saya was close enough for her to hear, he said, without turning around to face her: You know, just because you are not a normal human, doesn't mean you mustn't eat normal food. Or any food at all for that matter. He turns to face her, trying to locate her eyes with his own. I understand your condition. You need blood, a blood from a living body at that. But there's nobody around but us for miles. And asking Sol or Rosu would seem too weird, they wouldn't understand, so you were thinking of asking me. Am I right? The question was more for show. He knew he was. Saya didn't eat for days, and she rejected the raw meat as well. Her blood hunger was either much worse than his, or she had not the willpower to hold it. He was also wondering why was it that Rosu didn't have it, but answering that question could wait. Well, go right ahead. Help yourself, - he added with a smile. Joking at that moment was probably inappropriate, but he couldn't help himself. He imagined how stupid it must look from aside. He simply stood there, with his arms by his sides, looking intensely into her eyes, waiting for her fangs to bore into his flesh. God, how stupid.

Saya sat around the fire and stared at it, the firelight flickering across her eyes, dancing around with the ever color changing orbs. She was not in very deep thought and she felt Ukyo approach in human form. He had not left her something to this night, so something had to be happening. She watched him carefully and as he approached, he addressed her alone. His voice held no concern, just inquisitive. When he asked her if she cared for a walk, Saya stood up, brushing back her bluish stranded hair behind an ear. As she followed, she began to wonder what Ukyo would want with her. Soon enough, out of ear shot range to her father and sister, Ukyo stopped and began to speak about her humanity. Then he almost guessed her needs perfectly. She felt her heart quicken and she had to avert her eyes from his gaze. she had to nod her head at his question and scratched her head aggitatedly.

Saya took a step forward and had to look at Ukyo's eyes at the moment her body had gotten close to his. She stopped and backed away a little, "This is just because I am trying to accept my bloodline Ukyo." Saya used her arms to wrap around Ukyo's back and pull herself closer. Her face was against the curve of his neck. Saya turned her head towards Ukyo so that her lips were against his skin. She could feel the pulse of his neck beating below and she let her fangs extend. After a second pause, She slowly and gently bit into Ukyo's neck, trying to avoid harming him in any way. She did not know how Ukyo would feel about her drinking his blood directly from his neck because he was a vampire too, but she knew he had genuine concern for her if he was willing to let her drink his blood. She had not even asked him to do so and he let her, fully and without reserve. She felt the liquid rush down her throat and she felt it beginning to sustain her body. New energy flowed through her body as her depleted blood cells recharged. She had not felt this from Kaeor's blood so fast, but then again Ukyo was from her bloodline so the traits of drinking his blood had to be stronger. When she had taken what was neccesary for her, Saya gently pulled her fangs out of Ukyo's neck and licked the two pin prick to seal his blood from escaping. Afterwards, Saya backed away and made eye contact, life in her eyes again, "Thank you Ukyo. No one would really understand my needs and not think them to be grotesque." The thought about Kaeor flared in her mind for a second, but she decided not to say his name due to the two's history. She looked past his shoulder and then to Ukyo, "When can I see my mother? I want answers before Rosu or father gets to her. Father wants to kill Rera. But I want to know my answers first. Maybe she does not have to die in the first place and I can convince her to tell Sol why she did what she did."

Ukyo stood still as she drank his blood. It was a very weird feeling, letting someone drink your blood. It hurt, and the feeling of having your blood drained, even if a little, was far from a pleasant one. He still enjoyed it, Saya being so close to him, holding her arms on his back, if only for convenience. Damn... I am a perverted masochist, - he thought with a sad smile. After she pulled back, he adjusted his coat so that it would cover his neck - neither of them needed Rosu or Sol to know what happened here. He looks to the ground and then starts talking, trying to pick his words correctly. I understand your condition, Saya. You can't stomach food, can you? Instead, you need blood to replenish your energy. It also makes you feel stronger, doesn't it? Ones like ourselves can indeed live solely on blood. It might seem like the perfect option, and really, it tastes great, it makes you feel great, and you don't need to work hard to get it - people without combat training are not even prey, they are just food, all ready to be eaten. I am not going to touch the moral side of the question. But you should know the dangers of this. The more you drink blood, the more addicted you become. One day, you might find yourself unable to stop and kill a person by simply taking their blood. The hunger will grow every time you satisfy it. At one point, it will make you consume so much blood you will fall victim to your beast side. And then, you will lose yourself forever. He sighs, and then looks directly into her eyes again. I don't want something like that to happen, least of all to you. There is no cure to this, or at least, I wasn't able to find it in the six years I was a vampire. Some things help quiet it down though. Strangely, satisfying your normal hunger, or, - he averts his gaze, - fresh animal blood. Otherwise I would just eat roasted meat with the rest of them.

After finishing his message of warning and a bit of confession, Ukyo listened to Saya asking about her mother. He looked to the ground once again, as he was unable to look her in the eye with what he was going to say. I have serious doubts that taking you to her is a good idea now. If what Sol says is true - and as much as I hate to admit it, I think he speaks the truth - your mother isn't the person she wanted us to think. That can't be a good sign... He wondered whether to tell Saya all of his thoughts on the matter or not, and decided she should know. Considering I don't have much love for her myself, I am expecting something bad to happen. Her story doesn't add up. From what she told me, she gave you and Rosu away so that you could have a normal childhood. But did she really need to try and kill Sol to do that? Then, she said she discovered one of you survived that village raid. But it turned out that you were both alive, and knowing about my own ability to find either of you by your aura, I can't believe she was unable to feel you were alive and in need of help... I am afraid to suggest what the truth might be.

Ukyo stayed silent for a few moments and then said in a low voice: That's why I insisted we stop here tonight. The town she resides in is just about an hour further. This way, we won't be tired by the time we reach it tomorrow, but are staying out of her direct reach. He tried to smile reassuringly at her, but it came out very weak. There was nothing to smile about. He basically just told Saya that her mother was the one who condemned her to that experimentation facility, that she was to blame for all of her and Rosu's hardships. He sighed, having second thoughts about having told her all of this. Then he remembered that there was something he needed to ask her, himself. Saya, that thing on your arm... do you know what it is?

Saya stared hard at Ukyo as he confessed things about her mother. She did not want to hear no for an answer and she took a step forward and pushed her body against his. She picked his chin up so that he looked her straight in the eyes. This was a matter of importance, and she needed it addressed, "Please Ukyo, everyone has been trying to protect me my entire life. I am a Jounin, a strong ninja in my own rights. I am of the same strength as you Ukyo. I do not need protecting for this moment in time. I need someone to take me to my mother. I will travel on my own tonight if it comes down to it." It was in all reality that she wanted to stall time or change the subject away from the Mikougake, but Ukyo's eyes continually stared at her arm. The glow began to grow from the Mikougake as if answers were demanded.

Saya turned and pulled the Mikougake into her chest, hiding it from view with her hand. She let her hair fall around her face and she began to shake, "This thing...I know nothing of it. I want to know anything about it, but I did not destroy the facility. Rosu and Sol must have. I learned nothing of it. I know nothing of it at all. I can't remember where it came from. I went into the research labs. The next thing I knew after walking into a room, I was outside in the desert near a village." Saya turned towards Ukyo and leaned against him in a sensual manner. She was trying an approach she normally never would. But if Ukyo would fall for any type of woman charm she had, she would use it. If it was her mother on subject she had to meet her, no matter how she was like.

She felt her knuckles clench until it they turned white and she began to shake with a bent up emotion she could not describe, "Please just take me to my mother. I will give you anything if you take me to see her right now." She looked up at Ukyo and stared at his eyes as she waited for the response she wanted to hear. She was not going to get a no. She knew her mother had answers, and she wanted them.

Ukyo's heart started racing when Saya pressed herself against him. He barely registered what she was saying, only catching her meaning. He tried calming himself down, but it didn't work well. He finally forced himself to pay attention and concentrate on her words, instead of her curves and the scent of her hair. So she doesn't know anything either... that is what I feared. She found it down there, but doesn't even remember it. Or is hiding it... These were practically the only senseful thoughts he had at that time. It were the words "I would give you anything if you take me to see her right now" that jolted him back to reality. What was he thinking? She didn't like him, she was using seductive tactics to get her way. Saya... - he said quietly, exhaling as he did, but then his voice became hard, with unmasked anger in it, - I don't need your... charity, - he says spitefuly, taking a step away from her and turning around. How dared she? All this time he was worried about her, always trying to help her in one way or another, and she treated him like some scum that would take advantage of her the first chance he got. He was enraged. Maybe next time you should try just asking first, - he said, and began walking away, but not in the direction of the camp. Fine. But I will not let you go alone.

Meanwhile at the camp, Rosu and Sol were wondering what was taking the others so long. However, both decided that it must have been something rather personal if Ukyo did not wish to speak in their presence. They were finishing their dinner when Rosu finally showed her concern. What could they be doing so long? I thought it was just for a few words. Don't worry about it, - said Sol, even though it was hard for him - he did not trust Ukyo at all. He was a vampire, and as far as he knew, he was with Rera. Did he need any more reason to suspect him? I'm sure they're fine. We should go to sleep, we've got a big day tomorrow. Rosu nodded, agreeing with her father. She was slightly worried about Ukyo and Saya, but trusted they wouldn't do anything stupid. All of her time worrying finally caught up to her as she closed her eyes and almost instantly fell asleep. I'm not sure if they will return soon, - thought Sol, wathcing the sleeping girl. He did not know anything about their relationship, but he realized that both meant something for each other, and he had some suspicions as to what they have left for. However, I can't waste my time sitting here. I will kill her before they get there. At this distance, I can already feel her aura. He got up, and after one last glance at his sleeping daughter, walked away into the night.

Rosu opened her eyes. Fooling her father was much easier than she expected. Then again, he never received ninja training, so he wouldn't know anything about stealth and such. I can't just let him go. I hope Ukyo and Rose will catch up to us later. She followed in the tracks of her father, moving carefully enough for him not to notice.

When Ukyo pulled away and exhailed, Saya knew she had done something horribly wrong. He repraived her with anger deep in his voice. She swallowed the bile rising in her throat and looked to the ground. As Ukyo began to walk away, she noticed his shoulders shaking and she knew he was angry. She stared at his back, her eyes full of regret. She should have just asked like he said. But it seemed like she had been asking for a full week that Ukyo take her alone. She had to find her first. The measures she used were drastic and probably something she should never had tried. She was not the seductive and manipulative type. She began to follow Ukyo slowly. She did not try and make contact with him because she was afraid that would just upset him even more. The only thing that she could really do was apologize.

Eventually Ukyo traveled faster and faster. Saya had no problem keeping up, and in the matter of half an hour, Saya and Ukyo ended up stopping in a large portion of trees. Ukyo seemed to slow down and so Saya stopped when he did. She had to guess that her mother's area was close. Very close it would seem. She looked at Ukyo, not speaking as she waited for him to lead her on. Ever since her mistake, she decided that it was up to Ukyo to forgive her before she could try and speak with him again. It was not her authority to try and control him, and she now realized that. A little too late it would seem, but she could only hope that Ukyo would forgive her eventually.

Ukyo was walking through the forest, knowing that Saya was close behind. He was still angry at her, but had time to calm down a bit, and was now mostly wondering why did she do what she did. It was unlike her, he was sure of that. And he doubted she thought he wouldn't take her there otherwise. So why did she do it? As they came closer to the forest's edge, he decided he would just have to ask her that later. The large town came into view as soon as he left the trees. It was some hundred meters away from the edge of the forest. There were few people in the streets, mostly small companies having a drink, but knowing it was a holiday place, Ukyo decided that the main fun must have been going on inside the many bars of the place.

He walked straight through the town until he ended up in a large round square. Trying not to draw any attention, he crossed it and walked directly to the entrance of a grand casino. He expected he would have to give the burly security guards a long explanation, but instead was greeted by a man of indefinable age, who was wearing a tuxedo. Ah, Ukyo-san and his woman. We've been expecting you. Right this way please. Ukyo thought it was kinda funny how the servant addressed them as. He was obviously not told Saya's name, but instead that she was of no importance if he dared call her "someone's woman". He decided that correcting the man was unnecessary, since it was also a little get back at the kunoichi. The servant led them inside the casino, but soon after left the main path and went through a "staff only" door. After that point, the vampire started remembering the place. The strange corridors with solid steel walls, countless security posts with large men guarding some doors, and finally, a retinal scanner that opened a steel door that was at least a foot thick. They really don't want anyone getting in... or out.

When they went through the door, the interior changed dramatically. Instead of plain steel walls, they were inside a hall made of black marble, finely ornamented with gold, with drawings of famous artists on the walls and expensive statues here and there. All this luxury was a bit too much, Ukyo thought, but that was probably the only way to liven up the dark halls. Again, like six years ago, he was led through halls and corridors that all looked the same. As if the countless guards and steel doors weren't enough protection, there was also a maze in the heart of the building. He remembered that this section was completely hidden inside the hill that the casino building stood against.

Ukyo lost the track of time as well as track of the path they went, but he supposed it took them about ten minutes to get to their destination. The servant finally stopped and opened a door, made of black marble like everything else in there. Go right in. Rera-sama was awaiting your arrival. He stepped aside holding the door for Ukyo and Saya. Heh... are you ready for the moment of truth, Saya? He hesitated for a moment, thinking whether to be a gent and let her go in first or not, and decided it would be better if he was the first to enter. He was expecting a trap, and this door could easily and effectively separate him and Saya. He would not have that.

As he took a few steps into the large room, he heard a voice that was etched in his mind forever. Welcome again to my humble abode, Ukyo. But I suppose you are not alone this time around, - she said in a sweet voice. The jounin found it strange that he couldn't see her, even with his ability to see in the dark. The darkness in the room was not natural. Suddenly, fires lit up along the walls of the room, bringing light into the room. He could see her now - sitting on her throne, made once again from black marble, at the far end of the room. Saya, - he said, - Meet your mother. Rera got up from her throne and started walking towards her visitors. She was wearing a black party dress, with deep neckline, and Ukyo guessed that her back was also open. If it wasn't for the situation, he would wonder how she did not get cold wearing it - the place was rather chilly compared to the outside. Her face hadn't changed at all - and no wonder - but now he realized just how much like Saya she looked. It was like a more mature, a bit rougher and darker version of the girl.

Saya?.. oh, I understand... an adopted name..., - she said in a soft voice. She stopped several feet away from Saya, at the same time keeping as much distance from Ukyo as possible. I guess I do not deserve a warm greeting... all these years, my efforts to find you weren't enough... I'm so sorry... - she says, looking down, and her body starts shaking slightly. Ukyo couldn't believe his ears or eyes when he heard her muffled sobs. For some reason, it made him mad. It is all an act, it has to be! Sol's story... and other factors... she can't be a caring mother she wants Saya to think she is! All about her is fake... He stands still for a moment, but then explodes. Taking a step closer to her, he clenched his right hand in a fist and shook it in front of him. Cut the crap! - he shouted, - Stop acting all innocent! It was all your doing! All of Saya's suffering was your fault! And you dare to stand here and act like you feel guilty?! Rera looked at him with surprise, he face covered in tears, and then adopted a look of understanding. She fought back her sobs, and when they stopped so she could speak, she said softly: Ukyo... I can understand if you hate me... Back then, I was in panic... I made you a vampire without your agreement... and I am sorry... but can your hatred really go as far as to try and set my own daughter against me? Have some heart, I beg of you. The jounin was taken aback by her words. What was she saying? It was all lies! And now, she was trying to make him look like the bad person. Like he told lies about her so that Saya would hate her, as his way of getting revenge. What?.. but... - he said, stuttering, - Saya... please don't believe her...

Meanwhile, a man wearing blue has made his way to the small town he could feel Rera in. She was definitely somewhere around, all that remained is to find her. He followed the feeling of her overwhelming presence to a large round square, but then it suddenly became muffled, making it hard for him to realize the needed direction. Damn it... I can't waste time checking all of these places, - he thought, looking around the surrounding hotels, casinos and restaurants and some clubs, - Think. If I were Rera, where would I make my hideout? Some place that looked the same as the rest, but innocently different... He walked several circles around the square, studying the different buildings, until he found the right one. It was a casino, and the only thing that separated it from the rest was that it's back wall was standing against a steep hill. I hope I am right... He headed towards the entrance to the place. Unknown to him, a swift shadow was following.

Saya followed Ukyo through the various streets and corners. She was back in the land of waves once more. What did the head advisors think of her disappearance. She could not dwell on that now as she walked distressed behind Ukyo, she began to wonder what her mother was really like. Was she really evil? Ukyo and Sol spoke of her as an evil demon. Saya could not really concieve of someone being really evil without a true test of mind. Rera might have seemed evil, but she could have not been in the right mind set. she began to ponder on this when she abruptly bumped into Ukyo's back when he stopped. She looked curiously around to see an ancient make with a wrinkled face walk up garbed in a fine tuxedo. She was taken aback when she was spoke of nothing more than his woman. Like hell she was. She was the daughter of the woman who owned this casino, and she was nothing more than Ukyo's woman? She was still pure in her body. She had not committed herself to him, and there was no way she was just his 'woman'.

Saya felt like punching Ukyo's arm when he let it slide, but did not, solely for the reason that he was taking her to her mother. That was all she really cared about. Rera was what she wanted, not to test Ukyo on how far he was willing to go to insult her because she made a mistake. As she began to walk behind Ukyo, she noticed many men staring at her. Some with a curious look because a woman was walking through with a sword. The others with looks of lust because a highly attractive and skin showing woman was walking through the casino. She blushed and looked away, not used to such strong looks from men. She would not give them the pleasure of seeing her blush as she walked closer to Ukyo so he blocked their views.

As the man brought them towards the back of the casino, they stepped through a door labeled as a staff only entrance. Behind it was a long line of steel walls and various security posts with strong looking men. Saya was not afraid of them. Unlike them, she trained herself night and day to be able to fight with her sword or hand-to-hand. So they were little match for her skills. Once more, she stopped just inches away from walking into Ukyo's back when the older man presented his eye to a scanner. Saya looked inquisitvely and noticed the door was thicker than anything she had ever seen before. A quick flashback and the red haze returned. Dust covered the whole interior of the room and in front of her was a thick steel door blown off its henges.

In an instant she was back to the hallway and Ukyo had started following the man. Saya followed behind, jogging a little to catch up. Behind the door she had expected the place to be even gloomier than the other hallways, only to find the place decorated with fine black marble. Her mother had to of had a lot of money. There were various statues, carves, paintings, and pottery that Saya could only guess the amount of. She was so caught up in the art and beauty of the place that she did not rememeber any passage way that she was supposed to travel through to get back. The maze had effectively confused her and by the time she realized it, they were at a door. The man opened the door and stepped aside. The man spoke and said that her mother was waiting for their arrival. Saya felt her heart rush as she did not even register Ukyo's words. She watched him walk through, and her feet moved on her own. She was about to meet her mother once and for all. To see the evil woman who had stole her own children from their father after she tried to murder him. The woman who placed Saya in the village that was completly destroyed in the raid. The woman who did not look for her herself, but sent a messenger instead.

Saya a voice that graced her ears. It was beautiful. Almost angelic. If Saya were to compare her own voice to her mother's as she guessed owned the voice, Saya could not say that hers was any better. It was like she was a copy of her mother's voice. A little gentler as it would appear, but the same chemistry of tone was stille present, despite how much mature Rera's voice was. Saya felt her heart pound so loud that she could not hear anything but. There was an unnatural darkness that stood in her way of seeing her mother. Saya wished that there was some sort of light to illuminate what Saya desired to see so badly. As if by her command, fire leapt around the room, following down the columns. There, sitting upon her throne, on the far end of the room, Saya stared in fascination and wonder, as her mother stood up and began to walk towards her. Saya felt her body shake and quiver, from exictment or fear she knew not. Her mother looked like she was ready to go and socialize with the wealthy society. It was like Saya was looking through a perverted mirror. Her mother was more mature, and her curves more lush, but all in all, Saya could not see much difference between herself and her mother.

When Rera paused in front of her, Saya looked on with full attention. This was the moment she had been waiting for. When her mother spoke, she watched as she began to shake. To her utter surprise, to her utter astonishment; the evil, coldhearted, murdering woman who was supposed to be her mother, was crying. Saya's heart ached at the sight that her flesh and blood who concieved and birthed her, was crying because she could not find her. Saya was about to take approach her mother when she was jerked out the shock from Ukyo who began to shout at her mother. She stared at him as he spoke about herself. How could Rera possibly know that the village Saya was in was going to be raided? She could not solely blame Rera for her suffering, it was the scientists who had experimented on her that caused her all of the suffering. Saya felt crossed between the two parties when Rera spoke back to Ukyo, saying she was sorry, was she strong enough to think the crying and suffering woman in front of her was truly evil? Saya could not know.

Ukyo addressed her once more, begging her to not believe Rera. She could not decide. Surely they could not put pressure on her to the point that she would have to chose between the two over who she thought was the true speaker. She bit her lip harder until a bead of blood dripped down her chin. She quickly whiped it away and stared at her mother. She had to know things, and her only connection to answers was standing right in front of her. Saya pulled her hand up to her cheek and brushed her hair back behind her ear. She paused and felt pain rush through her arm as the Mikougake glew. Saya gasped and grabbed her arm and felt her arm shaking. Something was stirring in her mind. Saya rejected it and stared at her mother and spoke in a ragged voice, "Mother...you have to answer for Father. Why did you try to kill Sol when he loved you so much? Why would you try to take him away when you wanted our happiness? Why did you not follow Ukyo when he searched for me? Why did you think that only one of us survived and then told Sol that the other was alive as well?" Saya stared at her mother. She wanted to know what the thing on her wrist was, but that was going to wait. She wanted the personal matters answered first.
