[Anbu Exam] First Round: A Test of Control

OOC:Gomenasai, if I was supposed to wait for Zeke-kun.

IC: She started thinking about how to move, as she took the brush, and started writing out the name, in slow, small movements, only letting the very tip touch it.
She wrote out each letter, taking around a minute to write, using chakra to guide the letters from the brush, like she used it to guide the winds from her fans.
The light shown on her in a way that she seemed a mix of crimson and white, except for a small shadow on her hair, and the slightly visible wings on her back.
as the time moved on, she was nearly done, and would be happy when it was over.

OOC: Not bad, you guys. Especially you gaara, I expected you to fail this first Exam to tell you the truth. You all pass with flying colors. Now's time for the next part.

IC: Jikota had left the trainign site to get a meal. A single hour had passed and he had then returned to the scene of the Exam. He had saw that few shinobi became extremely frustrated and though most of them stayed. All 15 starting shinobi were still here and luckily, they had all completed their Exam. Jikota shunshined infront of the water fountain he then spoke loudly saying, "Alright, time's up! Everyone, turn in your grain of rice with a name on it. If there isn't a name on it, too bad, you've failed."

Ofcourse no one had failed. Not yet atleast. There was still a second half to the first Exam. This Exam consists of two parts. The first Exam was an Oral Exam to test if a shinobi was good at controlling oneself. The next exam will test one's ability in terms of battle and chakra.

Everyone turned in their Rice. He was glad to have seen that Shizuka was able to pass his first exam. However, the First Exam wasn't finished completely, there was a second part to it. Jikota just hoped that she'd be able to finish Both parts. There was still a long journey to completing the entire Exam. Once everyone was done turning in their Rice, Jikota then turned to them and said, "Alright everyone, you've passed my preliminary round. Since no one had dropped out of the Exam, I see that I have some strong contenders. Good, now I want you guys to follow me to the far outskirts of the village."

Jikota took the huge group of shinobi out of the village. They traveled about 200 miles away from the village, then they reached a desert mountain cliff. Jikota told the group to stop here, then Jikota got close to the edge of the cliff. He counted the amount of Rice he had, and then counted how many shinobi he had. He had 15 rice and 15 shinobi. He saw that few shinobi weren't able to keep up with Jikota in terms of speed. Not that he was going past his medium speed, though, he was going pretty fast.

"Once you get your breathe back together, I would like for you all to stand on your feet. This here that I have in my hands are the grains of rice that you each wrote a name on. This part of the Exam will test how well you do in different types of sictuations. In this Exam, I want you to re-think on how you use your Jutsu in battle and find the grain of rice with your name on it, in this vast desert."

Jikota put his hand over the cliff, and as soon as he felt a small draft of wind, he opened his palm and let the Rice fly into the desert. The grains scattering to where-ever the wind would take them.

"You may ask me any questions though, don't expect me to give you the exact destination of your Rice grain. To tell you the truth, this Exam will be very difficult, it took me 3 days to complete when I was a Genin, so I think I'll give you guys, I dunno....Seven hours sounds good?"

"Seven hours!?" One shinobi spoke out. There was a small discussion amongst the crowd as the chit chattered here and there. "You expect us to what in Seven hours....I quit!"

"Go ahead, quit. Quit on yourself and your village. I'm not forcing you to be here. It's your choice if you wish to complete this Exam and become apart of my Anbu. Infact, you're right. Seven hours is too much, make it Five Hours. You now have Five hours to find your grain of rice. You may begin...."

OOC: I graded everyone passed on their role playing, which was why everyone passed the first test, in this case the Preliminary. Now you must find your rice in the vast regions of the desert. You each have 3-5 Post to explain how you find your rice.(If you find your Rice)(Once you find it, I'll give you the "key" to the next Exam)

I know this Exam seems weird but, I want to make you better role players in which this Exam will do to you. Do not Double Post, and do your best. I'll grade your 3,4 or 5 Posts based on how well you role play. You don't have to post 3 long paragraphs if you don't want to. It's completely up to you how you do it. Just make sure it's got good enough quality to get you to the second round.

(OOC: nut's I was almost finished with my last post about completing my name when you posted again lol oh well)

IC: Turning in his rice grain without being able to fully spell his name on it he was upset with him self for not being able to complete the first part of the exam in time but was surprised when the proctor announced that everyone had passed huh ok well I guess that's great news, I'll just have to do better on he next part of the exam. Hearing the proctor tell everybody to follow him out of town his mind started to wonder about what he had in store for them next as the group took off across the town and into the desert.

After going a good hundred miles away from the desert and still traveling at a moderate speed Noah looked around at the group of shinobi and noticed a few were starting to show sings of fatigue and by the look of things they weren't going to stop soon and he wondered why they would have to travel so far into the desert for the next exam, for a second he considered speaking up about it but let that thought go and chose keep quit realizing that whenever they reach there destination those who are strong enough are going to be the ones left standing.

Reaching what Noah guessed to be about two hundred miles from the village the reached a cliff and the masked shinobi ordered a stop to there trek across the desert, Noah looked around wondering why this place was so special and he couldn't see anything that distinguished this place from the lands that they passed other than the cliff that the proctor approached before he addressed the group of shinobi some of which were worn out and winded.

Listening to the proctor give his speech on parameters for the next exam and toss there rice to the winds Noah watched them blow away and smiled to himself well this is going to be interesting, this is really like no other test I've taken before and there aren't allot of ways to search besides the old fashioned ways. Than his attention was snapped back to the proctor as he overheard something that peeked his interest as he listened to him and another shinobi's conversation who would quite after traveling this far into the desert? Oh well five hours will have to do.

Hearing the ok to begin Noah leaped off the edge of the cliff and onto the desert blow knowing he had no time to waste.

Shizuka listened to her sensei, as he gave out the task, and berrated a young hopeful for his outbreak. She smiled softly, being a wind ninja, she had knowlege of the general direction the wind had been moving, and as such, was prepared, when she had a thought strike her. She could use her wolf form to track the scent of her, and the ink, to the rice, the problem though, was doing it, with out getting caught by the other ANBU Hopefuls.
She started running into the desert, in the way the wind had blown, she was feeling a bit better about herself now, especially with the determination that had came apon her from the begining of the Exam. She sped off into the desert.
'The best way to find the rice, is go as far as the farthest one had gone, and search on the way back.' she thought, going beyound where that last rice had landed.

OOC: Sorry guys, i've been at work all day today and I couldn't reply. But i'm off the next two days so i'll be able to rp now.

IC: As the shinobi left, Dark only thought about how stupid they were. Baka... They don't know what it truly means to serve their village. Heh... this is a lot harder than the exam from before. Plus, I won't be able to come up with a simple solution like last time. This'll take some thought. As the other shinobi left, he immediatly sat down to concentrate. He closed his eyes and opened his mind to the possibilites of completing this exam. !!! I got it... again. It was only a half an hour until he got up and ran in the direction of the flying grains.

Heh... the leader did say that there were no rules.... heh heh heh... He ran until he saw about two shinobi. PERFECT! He jumped high and landed suddenly in front of them. HA! Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu! As they crawled on the floor, he continued running. I'll be there in no time, and i'll just take out any shinobi in the way. This will be way to easy... heh heh heh...

IC: Running across the desert in the direction of the desert winds estimating the weight of the rice verses the intensity of the wind he made an estimate on were the rice could've landed, knowing that they probably rolled along the ground he tried to work that into his calculations. On the way to the area he chose to start he noticed the shinobi around him searching for there rice and a few of them starting to play dirty he made his way through them avoiding any confrontation. With a little less than five hours to go I don't have time to waste playing around with the rest of them, instead of worrying about slowing the other shinobi I need to be thinking of ways to speed up my own search. I guess I could flood the entire area, that would make it so the rice floats to the surface.....no that would never work, the blast from the jutsu would kick up the sand as well as the rice and it could bury it for good. Well I only have one jutsu that will help my search but god it's gonna suck.

Taking a deep breath he activated his bloodline and felt that familiar twinge of discomfort along with a rush of chakra, still traveling towards his selected search area he ran through a series of hand seals he created three water clones who formed traveling alongside him as he reached his destination well now comes the hard part.

Shizuka, once out of sight of the Others, and on her begining of the search, used her bloodline limit to transform into a wolf, and lifted her nose into the air, smelling the scent of Ink and rice, but trying to locate her own scent in there. She felt the lupine legs under her body, and the nose, as well as she could hear all the Ninja participating, she could only think about how quickly this will help her, but she had to get moving swiftly.

She started noticing the ninja, though they were too busy to notice a lone wolf crossing the sands, as she used her nose to try to locate the rice, as small as it was, she had located a couple people's Rice, but not her own, she just kept moving, ignoring the heat of the sun, knowing that she had only to check another thirteen places where she smelled it, in order to locate it over all.

OOC: Nice everyone, you guys are doing great so far.

IC: Jikota took a careful observation of the surrounding area. He had saw a wolf come from out of nowhere. Though, his vision was very blurry because Jikota was not a far sighted person. Infact, he quickly formed a hypothesis that the wolf was probably Shizuka. She is being careful he said to himself. He then turned his attention to another shinobi. Though the two shinobi infront of him couldn't notice it up close but form far away, Jikota could see through the illusion. Infact, Jikota had seen this same illusion once of twice.

"That Mizunaka kid is using dirty tricks to get what he wants..."

Jikota didn't pay too much to dirty cheaters but, then again, he did basically say anything goes. He saw other participants also cheat but then, there was one shinobi who surpised him the most. It was the Itichi shinobi. That shinobi seemed like one that would also cheat, however, he surprised Jikota and didn't.

"I expect great things from such a Shinobi. He could possibly become the Kazekage if he tried hard enough. What do you know, time flies by fast. Only three hours left, they'd better hurry."

Few shinobi came up to Jikota, saying that they had finished. Jikota told them to wait next to him and wiat for the other shinobi to finish.

The scarlet wolf kept running, when she came apon three marked rice at once. 'Interesting' she thought, but noticed none of them had her smell on them, simply ignored them and ran off to find her own. She could tell time was slowly whaning, and that meant that she didn't have much time left, nor the chakra for too much longer. She quickly honed in on her scent, which appeared to be nearby, and let her lupine face look happy, as she ran towards it.

She found her sent, but it wasn't just her rice here, but foot prints, from ages past. She was surprised, but didn't know that she had been here before. She quickly ran off towards a side, getting behind a dune, she retook human form, and walked to where her rice was said to be. She forgot that as a human, she would still have to distinguish it from the black and creamy color of the sands. As such, she got down, and started using her hand to search, seeking the feel of the rice against the now cooling sand.

After twenty minutes like this, she finally found it, and looked happy, as she looked into the sky, and started jogging back to where Jikota was. She was happy to see that there were others who had managed to find their rice, and happy to have found her's, with the name of the only person she could see, that had any hope for her, the only one to have seemed to enjoy her existance.
