[Anbu Exam] Second Round: Location

OOC: Sorry for any inconvinience Ari and Mitsu. I had to go to New York and I felt uncomfortable posting around a bunch of old people who aren't really my relatives but, at the same time are my relatives...eventually they will be atleast....

Anyway, it's time for the second round.

IC: It had been one entire week. It was time to begin the next round of Jikota's Anbu selection exams. Unfortunately, Jikota was out of commission. Instead, one of his Ninkame was going to replace him as the Exam Proctor. The Ninkame that was replacing Jikota was his famous Ninkame, Tao.

Tao was a medium sized Turtle. About 3 feet tall, 4 feet wide. He had a red and yellow shell, with red skin and blue eyes. His tail wagged as he waited for the Participants to arrive for the next Exam. Finally! the turtle said to himself. Finally, Master Jikota is going to let me do something important!...Plus, he said he'll give me a nice human snack if everything goes well according to his plan.

OOC: I know you guys are still training but, when you finish training, take a look at this thread. You'll like this Exam, there's a little bit of fighting going on. Plus, it's ironic what happens in the end...

Shizuka walked to the area only to see a ninkame. "Hey, didn't you help teach me kinobori?" She asked him, not sure if it was, but wanted to know if it was. She sat nearby, waiting for the other second rounders, and her partner, to show up, so that they could get on with the exam, on this sunny day.
She looked at the sky lazily, as she listened to the sounds going on around her. She felt the ground beneath her, as she waited.

IC: Still a little groggy from having a bit to much to drink the night before Noah shook it off and made his way to the location given for the second half of the exams. Arriving he looked around to see some of the people here and Shizuka sitting near what looked like a turtle but bigger than one he'd seen before, but he didn't see that proctor from the previous part of the exam "huh well at least I'm here" he said as he waited for his instructions concerning the next exam with Shizuka.

The ninkame looked at Shizuka. He remembered a Genin though, Shizuka had grown so much as a shinobi. "Uh, I think I remember you." he said. "Aren't you the Sages' student?" The kunoichi sat down next to him. More and more shinobi appeared. There were 8 shinobi in total. The last shinobi to appear was Noah. Noah walked next to Shizuka. All of the shinobi were confused on what was going on. Since all of the shinobi were here, Tao had decided to start his Exam.

"Well, if you haven't noticed yet, I am Tao your proctor for the next Exam. The proctor from before couldn't be here today because he's out of commission. So, I will be the one to start the second round."

There were a few small discussions amongst the shinobi but, they eventually stopped and awaited for instructions from Tao. Tao spoke loudly to the group, "This next Exam will test you on your ability to locate information. Hidden within this village are scattered pieces of Maps. There is one maps and you and your partner must work together in-order to gather the 5 pieces that make up the map. You are allowed to use any skills and techniques that you may have to find the map."

Tao then stopped speaking. He began to cough. The coughing got louder and louder and more violent. It was as if he was about to choke and die. But then, from his mouth, he shot out a scroll. The scroll unraveled infront of him. It displayed what the map would look like when you had all 5 pieces together.

"This is how a complete Map scroll will look like once you have gathered all 5 pieces. Also, if you haven't noticed, gathering the map is half the competition. Once you have gathered a map, you must travel to the destination where you will meet the final proctor and engage into the Third Exam....One more thing, as you have heard there is only one map, but that doesn't mean that only one team will enter into the next Exam. With that, I take my leave...."

The ninkame poofed into a cloud of smoke. He left, returning to his homeland the Tenryou Waterfall. The shinobi's Exam consisted of them gathering a Map and then following the directions from the Map and into the location for the Third Exam.

OOC: You heard what the turtle said.

Shizuka had nodded at the ninkame when he had mentioned the sage, it was well known to her now that she could remember, that Chimiri Jikota was the Turtle sage. She then listened up as he started announcing the situation of the exam.

The Second it was over, she had thoughts, of using her power, and of how to get the map peices. 'Dost thou not knoweth? There be four teams, and five peices' The Inner Vampire reminded her, as she thought about it.

"Ok, I have an Idea, since there are four teams, and five peices, each team gets to look for one peice, and then, when that is done, we shall have to find the fifth peice. Then, unless anyone wishes to fight, we can all head to the final place, if there is a fight, I shall be sure to tell the proctor that you sadly had to leave us." She stated, as she looked them all over.

IC: Noah listened as the ninkame explained the details for the new exam trying to commit them all to memory hmmm so we are going to need every piece of the map before we can continue huh, well they shouldn't be to difficult to obtain. We could wait till they were found and than take them or try to find them before the others of course the former is probably going to be the option that becomes reality. As he listened to Shizuka make her statement he nodded in agreement "I would like to end this the peaceful way if possible but I don't have allot of faith in the honor system that they will not ambush somebody else if they see the chance, but I guess I couldn't blame them if they do" he told her.

"Well I guess we should get started, any ideas on locating the first piece?" Noah asked seeing some of the other teams heading for the village to start their search.

"Lets check the business district" Shizuka stated, thinking of one place to start. She started walking quickly towards her old home and shop, the ruined shop of the Otori.

After a few minutes, she arrived, looking back for her partner, she thought about it, how she could gather information, and how to word things when using her new skill, in order to get the best results. She waited on him, as she started checking the wreckage.
'This is the place that my life started, this is the place where my life ended as I was, the innocence in me lost for all time' she thought, as she remembered that day, the day when she was nearly killed by her father and the rest of the Otori family, and saved by a bounty hunter, who in turn, killed off her whole family, and took her to the desert.

She then started moving things with her new found strength, as she searched, hoping for a clue, or maybe a map peice itself.

IC: Agreeing with Shizukas decision to start their search with the business district he followed at a distance behind her letting her lead seeing as how he still wasn't very familiar with the village and also to keep a look out for those who might try to ambush them to lower the search parties I almost hope that somebody attacks us, searching for a piece of paper isn't really my idea of a good time he thought to himself as he scanned the rooftops.

Arriving almost a minute after her, she had already begun her search so decided not interrupt her but instead figured the best way for him to search was the good old fashioned way. Noah created four water clones to help look "to bad they can't wonder to far off I guess it's going to be a localized search" he said as the clones started spreading out in all directions looking over the items in the crowded street.

(OOC: btw Zeke you said that there might be fighting in this one, I was just wondering how that would be, are you going to step in as a NPC or something?)

OOC: Posting to answer Mitsuaki's question: Maybe, maybe there is someone waiting for you at the end of the tunnel. Maybe, I will jump in next post and try to take your life.
