“The basics huh, well the basics are a good place to start.” Kodo reached out his arm and Airazor landed on it. “Then let’s first see how well you can control your chakra.” Kodo walked over to a large tree then placed his hands in the Bird hand sign. His chakra traveling down his legs then settled at the base of his feet. Kodo took on step onto the tree and then lifted his body up to take another one. Kodo walked up about five feet of the tree before looking down to the ground. He then proceeded to walk back off the tree, never missing a step as he went. Kodo walked over to Zetsumei then drew his bow and a single arrow. Kodo turned back to the tree loaded the arrow and fired it. The arrow flew from the bow with a near silent ‘Flick’ and stuck itself near the top of the tree. Kodo then looked back at the boy.
“Kinobori is a basic jutsu. It involves channeling your chakra into your feet and focusing it there. Once you have practiced that try to walk up the trunk of the tree and retrieve my arrow. If you can do that then your training of Kinobori will be finished and we can move on to the next step. Be warned, if you don’t use enough chakra you will fall of the tree. If you use too much… Well we won’t give everything away at once.” Kodo sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes, and then placed his hands in the Bird hand sign. “If you have any questions fell free to ask and I’ll answer them if I can.” Kodo really needed to rest. Just performing the Kinobori was almost too much strain on his chakra. He would need to rest a wile and hopefully it will take Zetsumei some time to master Kinobori and retrieve the arrow. IC: Zetsumei jumps from the rock that he's been sitting on for nearly the entire time he's been there, dusts himself off, then walks over to Kodo, nodding his head to him. Hearing about controlling his Chakra, he knows that he's not the greatest at it, being that he's only a Genin, but he heard from the Shinobi he was training with that those who specialize in Genjutsu have excellent Chakra control, so he wants to put that to the true test. Getting worked up some, he looks at Kodo as he draws out his bow and an arrow, points it up, then shoots it towards a tree, and watches it as it sticks into the tree almost all the way at the top. Looking up at the arrow for a few seconds, then back down to Kodo, back up to the arrow, then back down to Kodo again, his eyes are widened, and his mouth is opened up all the way.
You want me to climb ALL the way up there?! You're nuts, Kodo-san!! But, I'll do it! And I'll get that arrow down before you can say "Kawarimi no Jutsu"!!

(Basic) Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing) [Rank: C (Advanced Genin Skill); Type: Ninjutsu] - Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra, and it also teaches them how to run up trees and walk up walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. Post 1/6 (with teacher) IC: Zetsumei walks over to the tree, gulping some as he looks up at the tree, just barely seeing the arrow, looks back at Kodo, seeing that he's sitting down now resting himself, then back up at the arrow, then down straight ahead, takes a deep breath in and out, takes out a Kunai from his right leg pouch, forms the Ram Handsign in front of him, then starts channeling some of his Chakra into his feet. He knows that not channeling enough of his Chakra into his feet will just make him slip off of the tree, but putting too much in will force him to break into the tree's bark, which'll make him fall as well, so he keeps this in mind as he thinks he has enough Chakra in his feet, then runs towards the tree at near-full speed, for him anyway, then starts running up the tree. He only gets about a few feet up when his feet slip from under him, and he falls onto his back, but not hard enough to hurt him really, then he slowly gets up, looking up at the tree.

Ooc: I wont be posting his whole training because Kodo is training Zetsumei Raptor at the same time. Whoever judges should put that into account. I’m purposefully halting his training otherwise it would seem as though time passed differently then with his companion
Ic: Kodo realized that if he was to be a strong ninja he would have to increase the amount of chakra that he had to use. He also needed to train his body and mind for the task he had before himself. He knew that As a Raptor Ninja he had good chakra control as per both his bloodline and his branch of said line. Kodo could hear the boy make his claims of retrieving the arrow in short order and could only laugh to himself. “Patience is a virtue all Raptors should have. Particularly in your case young Hagetaka Raptor.” Kodo’s eyes remained closed, but that in no way meant he couldn’t see what was going on around him. Airazor was his eyes and he could see how the boy was doing in his training. Kodo knew it would take Zetsumei Raptor a time to get his arrow. First he would have to remain on the tree long enough to reach the top. Then the task of pulling the arrow from said tree wile the wind’s harsh strength thrashes you about. The boys focus would be tested to a limit Kodo didn’t have to do in his training of the same Jutsu. His branch requires it. If Kodo had his way, every Jutsu he trained with the boy would push his focus further and further. Kodo wanted his clan to return to greatness within Konoha and he was going to use Zetsumei to do it.
First things first. Kodo knew it would be a time before the boy reached the top so into his meditation he would go. There was a place Kodo could go that none could follow. Into the deep recesses of his own mind. This was a place Kodo had become accustom to going when he wanted to get away or for deep training. Deep training was exactly what Kodo was here for. The walls were the same as before. The same as within the Raptor temple. This was Kodo’s home, and he enjoyed coming here. Kodo looked around before taking his place in the center of the room. “Chakra control and body strength. I‘ve got the perfect Jutsu to kill two birds with one stone.” Kodo paused for only a moment before… “Kage Bunshin!” Three shadow clones appeared surrounding Kodo. He knew what would happen next. Not a word was spoken between the four Kodos. The three Clones branched off to the sides of the room and they all pulled out several feathers. Kodo drew his sword and readied himself for what was to come. The three clones activated the same jutsu at once as six Small Shuriken flew at Kodo. Kodo leaped into the Air as the Shuriken clashed. “And so it begins…”Kodo deflected several Shuriken with his sword and managed to dodge some of the others. A task that seemed all too easy. That was until The three clones started to move. “Now Things are getting interesting.”
Outside Kodo’s body was starting to react to his meditation. He was just sitting on the ground with his legs crossed and his hands in the Bird hand sign. His chakra started to flow around his body and engulf it like flames on an oiled fire. His body started to slowly rise of the ground as well. Airazor looked from the boy training to Kodo’s levitating body. He tilted his head and flapped his wings. Airazor was sure something intence was going on in there but couldn’t possibly know what. Airazor could feel his chakra being focused into Kodo, as he was drawing on was reserves he had for this meditation. A dangerous move by Kodo, but one he was currently unaware of.
Back in the temple of Kodo’s mind he is still fighting off the three clones attacks, wile trying not to dispel them at the same time. Kodo’s body was cut and bruised from his training and he didn’t know how much longer he could go on. He had to attack this round or he didn’t know what would happen. If Kodo is given a killing blow wile training in his own mind what would become of his body. Kodo’s troubles got worse when the clones each pulled out a handful of feathers. Kodo knew what was going to happen next and now would be his last chance. In sync all three clones called out the same Jutsu as they threw the feathers into the air at Kodo. “Feza buki Henge!” The swarm of feathers flew at Kodo then puffed into smoke as an army of Shuriken replaced them now flew in Kodo’s direction. Kodo had two options, Stand there and see what happens or fight back and have a chance. Kodo picked option two as he took a strong fighting stance and ran through the Bird, then Tiger hand sign as he activated the Katon: Nenshouken Renge. “Fire Style: Burning fist Lotus!” Kodo bent down as his chakra surged up and circled him. His chakra changed color from the normal blue hue to one of orange. His eyes narrowed as he drew his sword for the last time…

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [Shadow Clone Technique] (Nin/Kin) {A:}
Being a forbidden and advanced ninjutsu, only a few people know this technique perfectly. It is similar to the Bunshin no Jutsu since the main function is to create clones. However, Kage Bunshin no Jutsu doesn't create mere illusion clones. This jutsu can create clones that are real, and can deal physical damage. They disappear after being hit by an attack.
Feza buki Henge [Feather weapon transformation] (Nin) {E: Basic}
Raptor clan members carry an unlimited number of bird feathers on their person at all times. This Jutsu transforms these feathers into known weapons for the user. This allows the ninja to use many more of a certain weapon that would otherwise be impossible due to the mass and weight of the supply.
Requirements: Any number of bird feathers.
Katon: nenshouken Renge [Fire style: Burning fist Lotus] (Tai/Nin) {B}
A Combination of the Katon: nenshouken [Fire style: Burning fist] and Renge [Lotus] used by Kodo.
Katon: nenshouken [Fire style: Burning fist] (Tai/Nin) {B}
A Taijutsu created by Kodo Raptor It gives greater strength to his Taijutsu by adding his fire element into the mix. A Trigram appears on the ground with the Katon symbol in the center after the ninja holds the Tiger hand sign. The ninja’s own chakra surges from their body and burns like fire around them. The ninja will then attack in the same manner as the original Taijutsu. This jutsu gives the added effect of causing burns to an area touched by the chakra released. The chakra release will quickly causes strain on the body as time passes so extended use should be limited.
Renge [Lotus] (Taijutsu) {C}
Renge, a series of high-speed hand-to-hand combat moves. Because of its high speed and power it requires a lot of stamina and it strains the muscles. Should be used with caution.

(Post 2/6) IC: Getting a little irritated at this, Zetsumei channels his Chakra into his feet again, trying to figure out the right amount to use, closing his eyes to concentrate more, using the Ram Handsign, Kunai still in his hand, then opens his eyes up as he thinks he has enough Chakra this time, then runs back towards the tree. As he gets to the tree, he starts running up the tree's trunk, and feels his feet sticking a lot better this time, then tries to concentrate more as he gets up a little higher than he did before. Though he gets higher than last time, he only gets up to about ten feet up the tree, he feels that he puts too much Chakra into his feet this time, as he was trying to keep a constant Chakra flow in his feet, but started feel it slipping so he forced more in, but now sees that it was a bad idea as his left foot goes into the tree's bark, slightly, which forces himself off of the tree yet again, but not before he takes his Kunai and slashes the bark slightly, making the mark where he went to, then falls onto the ground, but not hurting himself.

ic: Kodo’s body moved at a pace even he didn’t think he could do, as he circled around and attacked the first of the three clones. His blade came down like a swift wind as it sliced through the clone like fire to ice. Kodo’s mind was racing as the remaining two clones came in for the kill. Kodo’s chakra level was now well below red as was his stamina. Both being taxed by the combined effect of his Jutsus. “This can‘t go on.” Was all that was going through Kodo’s mind right now. Kodo dropped to his knees add his sword, released from his grip, clanged on the temples stone floor. The two clones unsheathed their swords and Kodo just closed his eyes not wanting to see as the final blow was struck. Just as the Shadowclones were about to graze Kodo’s body with their blades they dispelled.
Kodo kept his eyes closed for some time. He wanted to know what was taking them so long to finish him off. Slowly he opened them to see he was no longer in the temple of his own mind, but rather outside the one hidden from outsiders. He cold see the boy Zetsumei still trying to make his way up the tree. Kodo remembers his time trying to climb the tree in the forest of death. It really wasn’t all to long ago. Now he was watching this boy get just as irritated with the task. “Be mindful of your chakra boy, you only have so much as once you use it all up that is it, your finished. Pace yourself. Come and take a rest. My arrow isn‘t going anywhere anytime soon, that I can promise you.”
Kodo used one of his hands to support his weight as he got to his feet. Kodo wasn’t on his feet more then a second before he started to feel lightheaded and topple over back to one knee and his hand. This shocked him and Kodo didn’t know why, but he could feel his whole body going through light tremors. Kodo grabbed his chest with his other hand as he felt a sharp pain surge through his body every time his hart pumped. His body was straining just to pump blood through his body. It didn’t take Kodo long after that to realize he should have taken his own advice. His chakra was depleted to a dangerous level. He was lucky if he even had enough to support his own weight. He doubted if he could even fight of a small cat at this moment let alone an enemy ninja. His training was done for now. Any more and permanent damage would be done. Damage so permanent it could mean death. Kodo just looked at the boy he was suppose to be training. “Just take a sort rest then continue your training. Remember my words.” “Patience is a virtue all Raptors should have. (Post 3/6) IC: Looking up at the tree, seeing that he's still got a long way to go, but isn't going to give up, no matter how long it takes, and even it completely drains his Chakra, he'll still keep going, even though he knows that if he drains himself completely of his Chakra that he'll die, so he knows how far to go, and when to stop. Performing the Ram Handsign again, Zetsumei channels his Chakra into his feet again, then starts running up the tree again at fully speed, though it doesn't really feel like he's going that fast because he's going upwards, and continues to hold the Chakra on his feet, making sure not to put too much this time, and tries his best to keep it from going down too much as it did the first time. He sees where he last marked his place, and continues to go passed it, but only gets a few feet above it, and he feels his Chakra slipping from his feet, so he takes his Kunai, makes a mark, then leaps down, landing on his feet, in a cat-like stance, then stands up, and looks up.
Damn... ic: Kodo watched in pain as Zetsumei pushed on with his training. The boy had guts to go along
with his stupidity. Kodo gave him that much. Kodo knew that rushing the training would do no
good. If Zetsumei Raptor didn't learn Patience. then it will only take him that much longer. Kodo
could see zetsumei was making progress. He could also see that the higher up Zetsumei got the
more difficult it would be for him to channel his chakra. The mountain winds thrash at the peak
of the tree where Kodo's arrow now rests. Kodo didn't know if Zetsumei realized this yet, but
hope he didn't find out at the last minute. Kodo is too weak to be able to help if Zetsumei looses
his concentration higher up and falls off the tree. Zetsumei must learn to focus his chakra and
be able to hold it, before making the trek up the most dangerous part of his training. If he
didn't take his time death would come swiftly for the young Raptor.
"Very good dismount Zetsumei. I can see you are making progress. Still it seems you are still
lacking in your chakra control. I want you to try something for me. I want you to close your
eyes and focus on one part of your body. I want you to put all your focus into your feet then try
to channel your chakra there. Wile your doing that try changing the flow at will. Start with a
slow flow then change to a greater one. Practice this a few times before tackling the tree again.
When you feel that you've got the idea I want you to try walking up the tree. Remember I said walk, don't run."
Kodo hoped Zetsumei would take his advice and try to practice his chakra control in his feet
first before running up the tree again. It would give Kodo time to recover as well as give
Zetsumei a better workout and understanding of what he was trying to do. If Zetsumei can walk
up the tree and use his chakra control and not his momentum to traverse the tree, then he
would have a better chance of making the full trip up to retrieve the arrow, then safely back down. (Post 4/6) IC: Zetsumei was about to try again, but turns his attention towards Kodo as he comments him, and gives him some advice. Smiling some, and nodding his head, he then slowly closes his eyes, performs the Ram Handsign again, then starts concentrating his Chakra a lot more down at his feet, slowly channeling it into his feet, much slower than what he was doing a while ago, since he started the training. After doing this, he looks back up at the arrow, but does as Kodo says, and goes to the tree next to it, which is about half its height, but just as big, looks up at it, takes a deep breath of sigh, then starts to slowly walk up the tree, like he was told by Kodo, maintaining the Chakra flow in his feet.
