Biransei no Jutsu [Poison Gas Technique]

Requirements: None
Description: This ninjutsu technique creates a cloud of poisonous gas that erupts from the user's mouth in a stream. The cloud clears a distance between the user and their enemy, as not to capture the user themselves within it's area of effect.

Maruko headed to her special trining spot for new jutsu that day. Namely, outside of her shack. Despite herself, she felt a little bit excited learning a new jutsu, it proved she was moving up! She brushed that thought away impatiently. She didn't have time for hope right now, she needed to concentrate.
It said that the poison would come out of her mouth... alright, i'm ready. She shifted her stance and took a deep breath, and formed a handsign. She breathed out, in an effort for the jutsu to work. Nothing happened, not even a puff of smoke. She grimaced and prepared herself to try again.

Maruko had been training a very long time. Longer then she would care to remember. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't get it. It was as if there was a wall blocking her from learining this jutsu. She jumped onto a rock and from there, onto her shack, to try in a different spot.
She formed the hand sign once more, took a deep breath in and then out. Still nothing, maybe I should try a different approach to this, she thought to herself. Ok, i'll aply different amounts of chakra to different places in my body and see what works. Maruko always felt better when she had made a plan, even if the plan probably wouldn't work. Embolded with her new plan she got ready to try again.

Maruko first decided to stretch before she started on her new idea. She stretched her legs, arms, and even rolled her neck for effect. Then she formed a hand seal and concentrated first on legs. Once that was done, she performed the jutsu, still nothing.
She sighed, she should have been expecting that, why would your legs have anything to do with a jutsu that comes out your mouth? She leaped down from her shack and decided to try a new spot on her body. Hmmm, she thought to herself. I know! I'll try my arms next! She rolled her neck again and prepared her chakra for the next phase of her plan...

Maruko shook out her arms, and resumed her stance. Alright, here comes try number 23! She formed the hand seal and concentrated on her arms ferociously. She started to murmur to herself, with her eyes tightly squeezed shut,"Please work, oh please work...". She took a deep intake of breath, and let out as much air as humanely possible.
Nothing happened. Again. Grrr! What can I be doing wrong? Maybe its what i'm concentrating my chakra on! Alright, this time i'll try my feet next! That cheered her up a little, but on the inside she was slowly losing hope that she would ever learn this jutsu.

Maruko was feeling a bit thirsty now so she decided to get herself some water to drink. She headed inside her shack and grabbed a half-empty water bottle. She headed back outside and took a very un-ladylike swig of her water. She threw the water to the side of her as she took up her stance again.
She performed a few hand seals and started to concentrate on her feet intensely. She didn't have high hopes for this endeavor but she tried anyway. She took a deep breath in and a faster breath out. Nothing happened, as she had expected. I'll try a few more times, then i'll give up and meet Jikota-Sensei at the Academy. What next... ok i'll try my heart next. So she half-heartedly picked up her water and took a short drink, so she could begin her training again.

Maruko rolled her neck in an effort to get that crick out of her neck. She had no such luck though. The crick was still there and annoying the hell out of her."Lets just get this over with," she murmured to herself as she walked over to her training spot. She made the hand seal and prepared to start concentrating again. She had been worried that too much chakra to the heart might kill her so she decided to put as little chakra as possible.
She moved the chakra to her heart and took a slow, deep breath in, and a fast, short one out. Still nothing, as usual. Why do I even try? Its never going to work. But I have to keep trying! She woke from her daze and her gaze hardened, she would learn this jutsu if it killed her! What's next? Maybe i'll try my lungs next! Yeah that's a great idea! Now suddenely pumped, Maruko prepared herself to try for the millionith time.

Maruko ran in place to keep her muscles working so they didn't get soft. She took another drink of water and then set it down."Man, i'm almost out of water. I'll have to get some more on my way to meet Jikota-Sensei!" She thought excitedly. Time to get going, she thought to herself as she formed a hand seal. She concentrated on her lungs and willed the chakra to move there. She took a large breath and a quick breath out.
Nothing came out. She was a little dissapointed at first, but she got over it quickly and ran around the shack a couple times. That means there is only one place left! My throat! So if I concentrate all of my chakra there it'll probably work!"Emphasis on probably," Said the unhelpful, pessimistic side of herself."Oh, shut up," She retorted hotly.

This has to be it! It just has too! Maruko remembered what Jikota had told her about performing a jutsu."You have to calm," Thats what he had said to me. You're right Jikota-Sensei! I have to calm down. Maruko took seven deep breaths and finally got a hold of herself."Ok, lets do this thing."
She formed the hand seal and concentrated a little bit on her throat. She took a deep breath and let it out fast. Nothing-Wait! A small cloud of smoke was right in front of her! It wasn't much, but it was enough. She almost jumped into the air for joy. I still need to work out the kinks though. Maybe if I applied more chakra?...Ok that's what i'll do! Yes! I'm one step away from mastering this jutsu!

Maruko happily took her stance and concentrated on her chakra. Ok, so I have to put more chakra in my throat and more power in my breath intake and outake. This should be a breeze, and after i'm done I can meet Jikota-Sensei and...Ky. She shook that particular thought off and continued to prepare for the jutsu. She formed the hand seal and concentrated all of her chakra on her throat.
Then, she took a large, slow breath in, and a large, fast one out. It was working! A large stream of purple gas was right in front of her! Her first real step in becoming a Med-ninja! She was so happy she stopped the poison gas and started dancing like a crazy fool. Then she realized what she was doing and stopped immediately."Well, I guess it's time to meet Jikota at the Sand Village Academy!".
