Mission in the Mountains

Saya looked away from I-no when she started speaking about the good way and the bad way. She had never felt good from a person touching her in inappropriate spots. And them being similar was seriously an understatement. There was no way that she was similar to this woman. She did not sleep with a random man because they were the prime candidate to provide sexual satisfaction. It was beyond her how this woman could talk about something so personal so easily. Did she really find that much satisfaction from sexual relations that she would be open and proud about it? Saya had to wonder, and remained silent for a single long hour, refusing to talk if even I-no spoke. She was collecting her thoughts and letting her embaressment die down before she spoke agian.

"You say that you know all this stuff about my father's past? I do not want to know about his past unless he tells me...if I ask my father about his past and he does not wish to tell me, then I will not persue such things. It is his business and not my own. There are circumstances where the knowledge is cruical, but at this moment, I have no need at all to learn about his past unless he wants to reveal it." Saya was adamant and no matter what I-no said, she merely looked at Naka while she glowed a brighter and brighter white light akin to Shinryu. While the barrier around Shinryu began to drop, Saya felt something coming closer and closer to their position. The time for talk was over, dark shadows stalked into the cavern from two small holes on the opposite side of the cave.

Naka, during her meditation, opened her eyes slowly and looked at Shinryu through the quickly fading barrier. She spoke in an otherwordly voice. Her eyes were glowing completly white, "The barrier is about to fall. Once it does Saya, grab Shinryu and claim it for yourself. Stop these ninja from taking it and using it." Naka looked directly at Saya with her oddly glowing white eyes and then towards the sword, where the light seemed to increase from the blade as well.

It all seemed to happen in the matter of seconds. The barrier disappated around Shinryu and she could feel the power of the sword. Her hand reached out and grasped the sword around the gold banded handle. The shinobi launched themselves into the air. Saya's voice rang clear throughout the cavern, "I, Saya, claim Shinryu, Blade of the Stars, as my own, for good or evil, for light or darkness, I will carry this blade to the bitter end." The shinobi all had thrown five kunai at Saya's location. In total there were five shinobi located around the cavern. The spot where Saya had been standing in flashed a bright white light and blinded the shinobi. Their kunai were thrown in various positions, not one aimed correctly at Saya due to the sudden flash.

When the flash cleared, Saya stood in the middle of where the light had come from. She no longer held the glowing blue sword. In her hands was a black handled sword encased in a smooth black sheath. The hilt was formed by black crescent moon shapes. Saya pulled the sheath up and around her back and with a black strap, wrapped it around and held it in place with a silver broach with a symbol of a dragon spewing lightning from its mouth. She slowly reached back and grasped the handle and held the smooth black sheath and her right hand reached to grasp the sword's smooth handle. The sword created a crackling noise at her touch and when Saya began to pull it from its sheath, the blade was a slightly glowing deep amber gold. The blade was flawlessly formed and the edge was sharpened to perfection. Saya pulled it out completly and held the blade out to her right side, holding the blade gently in her hand.

Saya gave the katana a soft twirl with her hand and tested her fingers. The blade was almost made specifically for her. She had not expected how perfect that it would feel in her hands. It was nothing like she had held before. While she stood there holding the sword, the five shinobi that had come to take the sword spoke in hushed whispers and attacked Saya in a form of five. They all had their own swords and attacked in a three strike forcce with two as relief. The three forward shinobi striked at Saya and jumped away for the two relief who tried a double strike from her flank.

Saya easily gripped the handle of her sword and quickly performed couters to hold off against the three forward strikes. Her hand was quick enough to remove the threat easily. It was not until the first three shinobi were gone that the rather dangerous relief attack was performed. Saya quickly moved to duck backwards to manuver her way so the stabs missed her a split second before they striked her. Shinryu quickly flashed upwards, blocking the swords from striking the two relief ninja and instead burying into the two shinobi's shoulders. Saya quickly slashed towards the shinobi's abdomen, making sure that the cuts would not be fatal, but allowing damage. She had not witnessed that the shocking effect as the two shinobi fell to the ground, and turned towards the three remaining shinobi.

Saya turned and kicked off and away from the two shinobi she had attacked. She had cut them, but only enough to weaken and incompacitate them. She rendered them a useless thread and had three more ninja to deal with. There was one in the middle that seemed to be stronger than the other two. Two Chunnin and a single jounin it would appear were up against her. Saya held Shinryu in her grasp and placed Shinryu up against the palm of her left hand and held the hilt sideways, with the blade pointing towards the ceiling. Saya pulled the sword to her side, positioning herself for an attack and calmly waited for the two to strike. The two Chunnin broke formation and split going left and right to flank Saya, while the Jounin rushed straight towards her.

Saya carefully examined the movements of the two Chunnin and when they rushed in, Saya slid her right leg out and into an arc. With her vast agility and heightened senses she kicked the chunnin's right foot and stabbed forward, catching his left foot with Shinryu. Without missing a beat, she twisted the blade inside of the man's foot and dug it up, cutting along the ninja's leg until it came to his hamstring. She quickly made a sideswipe and severed it before pushing her right arm out, holding Shinryu with her left hand, and removing his feet from under him. Following through she twisted her body to her left and watched as a sword was shoved right in front of her eyes. Her right arm shot upwards and caught the ninja's arm. She quickly used her legs to pull herself and gain leverage while maintaining a close hold on the ninja's armpit. With her left leg she did a sweep, pushing the chunnin's hips and exposing his abdomen to the air. With a quick jab, she shoved Shinryu's handle hard against the man's abdomen and turned to look at the jounin.

The strike to the man's abdomen was only going to knock the wind out of him. Saya had but a second of time to react with the third and more dangerous ninja in front of her. Her left hand flashed out and Shinryu caught the man's blade before it struck. Saya stared into the man''s dark brown eyes and she pushed against his blade, effectively pushing him backwards, step by step. It was only to make distance between her and the winded chunnin. Not a word was passed between the two when Saya pushed her right hand forward and grabbed the jounin's wrist. She quickly shoved it up and around his back and positioned herself behind him, sword at his neck. Saya looked at the two chunnin still on the ground and shoved the man away. She had no reason to kill them, and thought it best to let them lick at their wounds for the time being.

The Jounin had other plans and jumped back at Saya, going for her blindspot. The attack was anticipated and she quick spun around on her heels and preformed a roundhouse kick, catching the sword with her leg and pushed it away. Her right hand came a split second afterwards and caught the jounin across the face. The force of the punch was enough to send him crashing into the ground. Saya looked at the jounin when he stood up again and grasped her sword with her right hand this time and kept her left hand free. She did not recognize the chunnin behind her that slowly made his way forward, but she what she was aware of was the jounin circling in front of her. To what she did not recognize that he was diverting her attention away from the chunnin making his way ever closer.

Saya did not take a step backwards and when the jounin came close enought the two clashed again. Shinryu flashed and blocked the jounin's sword attacks easily. It was obvious his abilities lied elsewhere, but it seemed that it would be ninjutsu, 'I would think that because he would most likely be afraid that the cavern might collapse in if he used a too powerful jutsu. Which means that at the moment he is going to try and fight with only taijutsu. He must know that I am a taijutsu master though...I guess they were sending more forces from where Ukyo is.' Saya met another combo easily and diverted the course of the jounin's sword. This continued on until Saya recognized a presence behind her and felt shock kick in when her legs locked together and she was forced backwards. The jounin took his opportunity, and without hesitating to impale his brethren, stabbed at Saya's heart. In a quick movement, Saya twisted her chest away and the sword ended up piercing her shoulder.

The Chunnin below Saya was not so lucky, and he was pierced through his heart and lungs. Saya yelled out in pain and felt the blade twist in her shoulder. Saya barred her teeth and stared at the jounin who was only laughing at her. She felt an inner rage at the man because of how he had just killed his own comrade. Around Saya, an aura of light began to form. She did not hesitate to kick the jounin's leg inward, breaking it with the force she applied. She took the chance and pulled the sword from her shoulder. She did not dwell on the pain and pushed chakra from around her body. The aura of lightning began to crackle with a high intensity and she quickly sheathed Shinryu and crouched, forming a ball of lightning electricity around the palm of her hand and pushed forward. The jounin that was strugglig to stand was defenseless and was caught by Saya's punch. It landed hard into his abdomen and caused hiim to lose his footing and hover through the air. The next instance, Saya formed an even greater concentration on her left hand and pushed it at the man's chest. Her hand crashed against the man's chest and even just by feeling, Saya felt the man's chest cave in on itself and the area around her fist burn with the heat from the electricity. The force alone caused the man to fly away from Saya and bounce along the ground like a rag doll until he hit the wall.

Saya landed on her feet and sweat beaded on her forehead. She had felt bodily pain before, but the combination of using so much chakra in the jutsu, and the wound on her shoulder made that an inevitablity that she was going to feel such an intense pain. Saya turned to the two chunnin and simply decided to leave them. She had just taken a life, and tears of regret began to course at her eyes. She always wanted to avoid killing, but in her bout of anger, she had done just that. Quickly she made her way back to the platform to see if Naka was alright, but she was far too late to save her. Earlier on before the fight even started. The a pair of the stray kunai that had originally been aimed at Saya, found their way to Naka, landing in the side of her chest and her neck.

Saya felt the tear of regret strenght and she turned away from the woman. She wanted to carry her out, and decided just to do that. She was about to place her arms around Naka when she heard a laugh. The shinobi that was still alive was looking at her with cold eyes and spoke in a soft voice, "Die you bitch." He extended his two fingers and Saya looked from the man to the cieling. Earlier on the cieling was covered with paper bombs. Saya looked back from the cavern top and back to the man and then to Naka before she heard the explosions, and felt the ground shake violently. Saya gasped and knew that there was no way she was going to be able to carry the older woman''s body and escape alive. Saya turned her burning eyes away from Naka and held her shoulder while she made a rush for the cave entrance. She was quick enough to avoid the cavern falling in on itself, but the small cave she had just entered was quickly cracking and following her, as if in an attempt to trap her and stick her in a rocky tomb. She added a quick burst of speed and traveled faster along the cave, trying to escape the ever following rock and to find Ukyo so that they could leave.

It was at least an hour after Ukyo had finished his preparations in the village when the enemy finally appeared. It was quite a crowd, especially considering that they were all ninja, but the Hokage expected more. He chose the largest open space he could find as the battlefield, and was now studying his opponents as they started surrounding him. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen... just fourteen? This will barely be a warm up... His many opponents remained silent, obviously preparing to attack from different directions at once, but he could almost hear them thinking if he was insane, facing them all alone. It was probably not the smartest decision on his side, but he needed some hardcore live action testing of Nanto Sei-Ken. Well, what are you guys waiting for? If you're not going to attack me, I'm attacking you! - he said and cut the air in a wide arc with his arm. The ninjas tensed, but no projectiles came their way. Or at least that's what they thought, as three of them got deep cuts across their chests only a second later. This caused some confusion among their ranks, but they quickly recovered and started advancing towards Ukyo. Heh, that's what I'm talking about...

The first wave was six opponents, four melee attackers with swords from each side, with two ninjas throwing shuriken and kunai from front-right and back-right. Their timing was perfect - all the attacks would land simultaneously, making dodge, block or using the enemies against one another impossible, at least for an ordinary man. Unfortunately for them, Ukyo wasn't ordinary. He jumped up in the air and performed a spinning kick, making several full rotations in the air and kicking away the projectiles before landing. However, his opponents were trained enough to stop in time not to get kicked in the face. Hahah, looks like you're not... as strong... as... you... GWAAAAAH!!! - one of the attacker's taunt ended when he, along with the other three who came close to Ukyo, fell to several pieces. You were saying? - said the vampire, smiling sadly. You bastard... get him! - shouted one of the remaining ninjas, apparently this group's leader. Blinded by fear and anger, and encouraged by their leader's command, another six opponents charged towards Ukyo, but this time around, their attack wasn't as coordinate as the last one, which he used to his advantage. Quickly stepping to the right, he grabbed a man who was wielding dual short swords and, using his strength, the man's speed and tripping him, tossed him towards the attacker on the left. His actions proved even more successful than he anticipated as the two nailed each other with the swords they were holding. Hence an important note: never hold your edged weapon outwards when charging at an enemy. Four attackers remained, two from the front and two from behind. The two behind him both had swords, and were preparing to slice him. He smiled and dodged at the last moment, jumping backwards over the attackers, and making a tearing motion with his hands as he came down, making the two enemies fall apart as soon as they tried moving. Just as those two were defeated, he dashed towards the two remaining attackers, cutting the air with his arms as he was getting closer to them, leaving deep wounds and throwing them off guard, and then making slashing movements with his arms as he came closer, cutting off their heads.

Well, that leaves just you four, - said Ukyo, looking at the three ninja he hurt in the very beginning and the group's leader. What are you going to do? The three injured men started backing up, and ran away when he took a step towards them. You cowards! Damn... you might have killed my men, but I am not like them, - said the remaining enemy as he drew a large mace from behind his back, and then charged forward, - This place will be your grave! The Hokage smirked and ran towards the last opponent. The mace barely missed him as he ran past the large man and stopped and turned around a few steps away. Heh, lucky dodge. You won't be so lucky next time though! - shouted the large man and brought his mace up for another attack... and his arm fell off at the shoulder. He stared at it in confusion and disbelief for a few seconds before realization kicked in along with pain. Ukyo walked up to the agonizing ninja and picked him up. A clean cut, huh? Nothing in this world is capable of delivering such an attack but Nanto Suicho-Ken. Now, tell me what you know of your employer, and what did he say about the woman he sent here before you? Woman...? What woman...? I... I don't know anything... we were just ordered... to attack this place... and find some kind of sword... please, I don't know anything else... Is that so... - said Ukyo suspiciously, but he knew the man was telling the truth, as he was too terrified to lie. Get out of here, - he said, shoving the crippled shinobi towards the exit. Hardly believing his luck, the man picked up his severed arm and headed out. Once he was rather far away, he shouted: You monster! We'll get you for this! You will pay, monster!

Yeah, yeah... whatever... I wonder how Saya is doing? At that moment, a powerful quake shook the ground. What the? A cave-in?! Saya! Without a moment of hesitation, Ukyo dashed towards the shrine where the young woman had gone before. Please be alive, please be alive, please be... - he thought as he ran, until he saw her, a bit battered, but definitely alive. The shrine-maiden wasn't with her though, and the Hokage quickly realized her fate.

The wall collapsed behind the girl when Saya finally reached the end. The small opening before entering the Naka's room had been enough to stop from collasping any further. The village would be safe, but the cavern would be completly filled in and an indention in the mountain would be forever engraved as Naka's tomb. Saya regretted not being able to bring her corpse back, but it was all she could do to live herself. Saya breathed heavily once before walking to the door. The lock was in place and she had to fumble around with her left hand to try and figure out the lock. More than anything, Saya heard clicks after doing something random with the inside of the lock. She took that as a way to push the door, and it gave way underneath even a slight push.

Saya walked into the room and fell to her knees. Her left hand reached up and grabbed her freshly cut into shoulder. There was pain, nothing that she could not handle, but the throbbing pain would not go away. That and she had no way of stopping the bleeding. Her black body suit was enough to decrease the relative flow of blood, but it would not fully stop the bleeding. She licked her dry lips and found that she was breathing raggidly. By the time she stood up, Ukyo was rushing through to door. The cave-in had to of went farther than she realized, and Saya merely looked at him, "It is done...I have the sword and at the cost of a woman's life." Saya did not want to admit that she had killed a man either, deciding to leave such information out. She took no pleasure in how she had felt his ribs cave in, and his chest collapse in on itself.

Saya merely stood up and grasped her shoulder before walking forward and speaking in a barren tone, "My mission is complete. Its time to leave." Without even waiting to see how Ukyo would react, she left the room and began to walk towards the village to find a place to get some bandages to at least bind the wound. This was something that she had to do herself, it required her taking off her top and revealing the top of her shoulder where the bandage would have to go across her chest. Saya looked back towards Ukyo and then looked to her front, "Ukyo...I am going to need some bandages, so give me a minute before we return to the village."

Ukyo was relieved to see that Saya was alive, and not hurt too badly. However, he could see that she was in pain, and the wound in her shoulder was pretty severe. It was times like this that he wished he knew medical ninjutsu. However, he wasn't completely helpless. He noted her request to leave the room so she could bandage herself. Right... though before I go, let me help you as much as I can, - he said and walked up to the young woman. He reached for her wounded shoulder and pressed two points around it, stopping the pain and flow of blood. He then pressed a point just above her collar bone and twisted his finger slightly as he did. After pulling back his arm, he said: Alright, I pressed a few power points on your body, temporarily closing off the nerves and minor blood vessels in your shoulder to stop the pain and blood from flowing out. I also pressed what I like to call "regeneration point", it will greatly speed up your recovery for a couple of days, but you'll need to eat considerably more to keep up with it, - he nodded to her and exited the room. Hm, I wonder if there is a power point that could make someone super-horny for a short while... Of course there is. It is just a simple matter of increasing hormones production and, most importantly, flow and... wait, what?! No, don't say anything else. I've heard enough, you sicko. The mission was done, now he'd just treat Saya to a dinner, which she would need to make up for the increased regeneration, and then be on their separate ways... Damn it...
