Loss of Dignity [AJ Gray Only]

In the previous battle, his left hand and his dignity had been stolen by none other than himself. He had changed into a monster all for the purpose of winning in battle and that was severely unlike him. Tsubame had lost something in that battle....something he desperately needed to regain. He needed many things right now, however perhaps the most prominent was his need to see Tamotsu once more. standing just outside the coliseum and hanging over the railing, he glanced into the brilliant azure sky and thought only of Tamotsu. He could remember his touch, his words, his laughter. Cursing himself, Tsubame glanced to the ground, where soon after Kurenai perched upon his shoulder. His hand was still missing, he would not allow them to attach his old one without first recovering his dignity and a bit of his own broken identity. "Tamotsu...where are you?

The leaves of trees gave no solitude to the birds in the sky as the sun beamed down on them from above. The shade would have been cool for them. And that is where he was. After disappear for some time, he had returned with no words to be spoke. But in the wind, he could hear someone calling him and his eyes closed for a moment. He listend to the wind as intently as he could before a blast of wind hit him and a familiar scent hit him. His eyes opened and he then froze in place. He looked at his attire and then then dusted himself off as he held a ram seal.

"Shunshin."

A flurry off leaves marked the spot where he was. As he did, he appeared behind someone he had known. Someone who had called on him. He stood there back to back with Tsubame and then sighed.

"I told you... if you ever needed me... I would return. Do not turn around though. I might not be the same person you saw last."

"I know..because I'm not the same either, Tamotsu. I've...grown into a monster where victory means more than life. that is not who I was and i know the only way to change that was to meet you. even if you have changed, it doesn't matter. You will always be lived by me, regardless." Tsubame said, attempting his best to his his left hand...or lack thereof. The wound had cauterized somewhat, however there was still time to replace the hand. He wanted to talk to Tamotsu before that happened though. He smiled as he turned around. He was different than before, excluding the wear of the previous battle that he had suffered. He had proven himself strong even if he truly was weak at heart. "I want...I want you to watch my next battle...."

Tamotsu did not turn around but could hear the pain and smell the blood. He looked down and heard everything the bird-nin had to say before responding on his own whims. As he reached for words, the wind blew his metal pieces together and made a sweet melody of metal and steel. Tamotsu listened to it as the melody took his soul and then he looked up.

"You turned around. And you're wounded. I can smell blood and hear pain in your voice. My... Eagle... have you lost your will to fly without me around? Do you wish my wings to soar? Do you need my eyes to find your prey? Do you need my claws to tear the flesh of your enemies clean off? Do you need me now?"

Tamotsu stood there static.

"I...I do need you...in more ways than one. I need you now, and I need 'it' as well, the love that we have for each other." Tsubame said, though he didn't exactly feel like asking Tamotsu for what ne truly needed next. He didn't want to have to ask Tamotsu for a new left hand. There was nothing left of his existing one, one it was cast from his body, it as burn and electrified, however he knew that Tamotsu had it, the exploding clay hand. "I hate to ask you for this, because I hate to ask you for anything, but I need the exploding clay hand...I need you to graft it onto my arm." as Tsubame said this, he could feel the distaste in his mouth about his own self right now, he was truly a monster and there was nothing that could change that anymore. He could only live with it and continue to love Tamotsu.

Tamotsu held the hand out and looked at it. He sighed a moment as he put the hand back in his pocket and then nodded. He then took out a small charm and then closed his eyes. He rubbed the charm between his fingers as he tranced himself into deep thought. He thought about how all the things he knew had changed dramatically. He thought about how he left Konoha and left Tsubame behind.

"Prove to me that you love me and I will grant you a new hand and new power. Prove to me that you wings need mending and I will make you take flight. Show me that your eyes need to be unclouded and I will make you see the sun again."

"As the monster I now am, were I not to love you, I would have taken it lest already, a severe miscalculation yet the truth." Tsubame said, closing his eyes. He felt the small pendant handing around his neck with his only hand left, smiling. He now realized something, that indeed, the hand's power ws great, however it paled in comparison for his feelings for Tamotsu. Pushing his hand into Tamotsu's, he closed the gap between the two and kissed Tamotsu upon the lips, closing his eyes while laying his broken arm across his chest. He glanced towards Tamotsu. "My soul is yours, hand or no; it makes no difference." Tsubame said this as he pulled back only slightly once the kiss expired.

Tamotsu looked at him with his palen blue eyes which seemed to have been weaken by his depression and wandering. He sighed as he knew what Tsubame had said was true. He did not want to be here at the moment but he would be where he was called as he had promised. He took Tsubame's left arm and held it out and winced at the proposed pain his mind introduced him to. He then dug into his side pouch and pulled out a small scapel. He cut into the hand and then pulled out the cursed Bloodline hand. He spoke slowly as he worked.

"It's not your fault. I left you alone. And sometimes we become darker without the things we long for." He made and incision on the arm where the hand was. "I took away your light and your freedom. And I was wrong for doing so. So I will confer upon you the last remnant of my powers." He placed the hand on the arm and held the two firmly. "I don't want to have your soul. I have your heart and that is enough for me." He began to heal the arm slowly. "But us being together here, it isn't possible now. And I don't think it will be. But maybe one day, if you find me far in the mountains, I'll share that sky with you." The incision closed slowly.

"Once this accursed tournament is over with, I'll seek you out, Tamotsu, that promise." Tamotsu said, just as Kurenai chirped in response to what he had just said only a few seconds ago///odd...and yet they shared the same chakra circulatory system and thus the ame thoughts, so she always knew what he was thinking. "Kurenai agrees." He smiled to Tamotsu, then glamced into the sky. He would follow Tamotsu when he completed this tournament, of that he knew, it was not a matter of promises, it was knowledge. "You should eave here while only I know that you have returned, after this tournament I WILL seek you out. At that time I'll join your side as well."

"Tsubame..."

Tamotsu continued to heal his arm and then looked into his eyes. As he healed the arm and the incision nearly gone, he leaned into the bird-ninja and ran his lips over his softly and then spoke.

"Consider this a gift of the heart, my falcon of the sky." The incision closed completely but he continued to heal. "What I am doing is transfering to you things I have learned as a Kage. Things I have studied in my own privacy. And from it, you shall gain knowledge of your own powers. Please use this gift and make yourself stronger."

Tamotsu said as he continued to apply more chakra. But soon his heart beated hard and he fell to his knees panting hard and his face paled. His mouth bled a bit as he tried to collect himself and then smiled weakly.

"It's done. I've taught you something..."

(Giving Rin 30 FC to use for Tsubame only to gain a jutsu of his choice. I have 49 remaining and will get rid of the 30 when approved.)
