Maruko looked from the Hokage to Shizuka, and back again. More training? Is this the reason that Shizuka wanted to stay? It's none of her buisness, so she decided to just let it go. She was a little unsure of whether or not, she was going to be happy here, but if Shizuka wanted to stay she could deal with it. Maruko nodded and picked up the folder in one hand, leafing through it. One name caught her eye and she closed the folder and placed it on the desk again. "Thank you. I'll find her on my own, now. I'll see you later Shizuka." She paused to bow to the hokage and to give a little half wave to Shizuka before turning to leave the room. "Thank you for letting me join the Leaf Village. It was very kind of you." She then walked over to the door and opened it, leaving to find the archer nin.

Shizuka bowed again, as she looked at the Hokage. "I thankyou for allowing me to join this village as well, now Shall we discuss more, or should I go write and send my messages, before going to help Maruko?" She asked as she looked at him.
She felt a bit more confident, as she stood alone with the Kage's clone sitting in his chair.
'Tis mighteth be thine best, or worst think thou hast ever done.' Her inner vampiress stated, getting a mental sigh from Shizuka.
Shizuka thought about it though, her Sensei and her friend were both still back there, she would have to make the message really well, inorder to make it up to them.

Ukyo nodded to Maruko as she left the room and then diverted his full attention to Shizuka. Don't mention it, - he said with a smile, - But what to do next is solely up to you, Shizuka-kun. You could go write your letters, go with Maruko-kun, or we could discuss our bloodline more if you wish. Right now, I don't have much to do anyway. It was the truth, though he didn't want to disclose the reason behind it. There was no need for her to know that Sand and Sound attacked Mist, and that Leaf was going to assist the latter, thus likely getting involved in the coming war. Because of that, all non-crucial missions were temporarily called off, and many ninja of the village have left, so there wasn't much to take care of in the village. The Hokage looked at the girl, awaiting her reply.

She stated, sitting down, and getting serious, she was sure she was in for a long lecture, but had nothing to do, till they had their place to live, plus she was sure that Maruko didn't want her help yet.
She folded her hands into her sleeves, as she looked up into the Hokage's Face, wondering how much knowledge he would impart on her, for the moment, and how much would be saved for another day.
She felt the Zessen fans next to her Razor Fans, and wondered, what was so special about it, but kept silent, focusing on her bloodline first.

Ukyo nodded and started: Well, I already told you most of the things there are to know about it. However, I was interrupted before when I was about to tell you of the third trial.
We call it Recognition. Basically, it is love, but on a whole different level. Unlike love, it cannot be developed by years of contact, though it usually takes several years to manifest, but can be spontaneous as well. Once you've recognized a person, you would realize it, and you would never be able to love another. That means, there is only one person in the whole world you could recognize. Its a lifetime bond that you cannot sever.
The vampires have feared recognition for generations, because it does not give you a choice. A situation where you love one person but then suddenly recognize another is easily possible. It usually takes a lot of time to manifest, but the situation where you only met a person several times and recognized him or her is possible. Because of that, vampires having children was very rare. No vampire dared stay in a relationship for over two years in fear of recognizing someone who might not recognize them back, or will simply die of old age as all humans do.
He stopped and sighed. Ukyo didn't like the subject, since he himself suffered from this trait of the vampires and a close friend of his did.

Shizuka thought about it, worriedly "I have never had a relationship, if I recognized someone, that would be it for me." She thought outloud, as she looked back at him.
"So that trial is inevitable?" She asked, scared, as she watched his reaction, she didn't know wether or not she felt safe from it or if she was doomed to it.
She felt her wings flutter in the chair.
"Does that Trial entitle Jealousy?" She asked, suddenly curious as to wether that was a portion of it too.
She couldn't help but think there might be more to it, than just that "Can Two Vampires end up with the same Recognized?"

Like I said, vampires of the past tried to protect themselves from it by not spending too much time with anyone, leading what you could call an open lifestyle, - he replied to Shizuka's first question, - But that protection was far from dependable, even though it must have been better than nothing. So yes, it's pretty much inevitable, and there is no way around it if it hits you. Ukyo thought the girl's reaction was kind of amusing, but not unfounded. Jealousy isn't a part of it, actually, it is quite the contrary. You haven't philosophized about love much, have you, - he added with a smile. Even though the level of love you felt for someone you recognized was beyond jealousy, it certainly wasn't devoid of suffering. To answer your last question, everything points to it being possible, even though I don't know of any time that actually happened to two vampires. But that is because there isn't much anyone can know about them on a personal level, just something that is common to all of our kind. He wondered if she would be content with this explanation. After all, there wasn't much of his words that she could use, yet Recognition was certainly something to watch out for.

She felt that part of her, the vampiress part, smirking, as it laughed in her head.
'Thou might hast ran into that person already.' It taunted, being loud and obnoxious with it's laughing. It wasn't just that, but it was trying to make her more unnerved.
Ignoring the laughter, she spoke "Can you help me get to the level where summoning is possible?" She asked, curious, as she thought about how weak she felt in comparison of him.

Watching Shizuka thinking, or maybe, knowing of her bloodline and having seen the reaction she had to the mentioning of the second trial, talking to her dark self, Ukyo couldn't help but wonder about certain things. If he was going to become her full-time teacher like he was once to Rosu, what precautions could he take to not let history repeat itself? One broken heart was more than enough for his consciousness. Yes, I believe I can. It will require some training, but you seem to be almost ready in terms of power. However, it will have to wait until some other time. Right now, we, the whole village, are in the middle of something which requires my presence in the office at all times. But as soon as I have more free time, we'll start the training. By the way, there is something beside our bloodline techniques that I might want to teach you and some other people. I'll explain it more in detail when the time comes, - he said, putting the file back into his desk. He should have taken care of this matter earlier, then he would have several elite shinobi at his disposal by now, but delaying it any longer was impossible.

Shizuka nodded, taking it all in. "I would love to learn all I can, Ukyo-sama, but as you are busy, I should go get settled in, that way Maruko and I can work on our Training, and be readily accessible to you." She stated, as she thought of one thing "Also, I'll need to find the messanger birds."
She started thinking about what she would say to her old Sensei, and her friend, they would both need alot of words, and a scroll big enough to hold all she needed to say may be heavy, but she would figure it out.
She then thought of one other thing she would need to find out. "Does this village have any access to Wind Jutsu?" She asked, thinking about how she happens to be attached to the wind. "Nevermind that, is there a library I can use?" She asked, deciding that would be more accurate.
