Kanki walks around the town and notices the group of people."i wonder whats going on over there"she says looking at them heading over there.Kanki walks over and hears the hokage" i'm in"she says signing the paper.Kani looks around at the others."i dont know how much good i will do but i kno i will try my best even though i'm only a genin."kanki walks back a bit and looks around at everyone there noticing some new faces in the village since the time she first got here.she sits back and waits to see when everything is going to begin. She looks up seeing the clear blue sky and the easy going winds from the slight breeze that flows into the village.

As Ukyo stretched his hand with Trouble out towards the female shinobi that was approaching him, he realized something. Since the day started, he was having a feeling of unfamiliarity inside, but brushed it off, deciding it was because of what he had planned for the day. However, now it became extremely clear to him that it had another reason, and this girl was part of it. Spending all of his time in the village and possessing some psychic abilities that came with his blood, he could feel when something in the village changed. Over time, he learned to distinguish different events, like people leaving or coming into the village, and the general mood of the population. But he let his guard down today, sensing a few new people in the village but not bothering himself with it, but there was more to this particular female than just that. Not only did Ukyo feel that she didn't belong to the village, it also felt as if she didn't belong in this world. Catching himself on that particular thought, he realized that it could be misinterpreted as a cheesy compliment. Either way, he knew she couldn't just let her go now, she intrigued him too much. Even though there was a whole lot of noise as it is, he spoke in a low voice. I suppose you are not just here for the festivities. Kazuki! Meet me in secret base D in five minutes. And I'd like to see you there too, little lady. Contrary to what one would expect, instead of leaving, the Hokage went back to the podium and continued answering generic questions which the many shinobi were flooding him with.

Okay, I am really confused now. How are you acquaintanced with Tachibana-sama? - asked Kazuki as he walked up to Mousy, - Sorry for the trouble I caused you. And we should get going, base D is pretty far from here. Oh, I'm Kazuki by the way. He started calmly heading towards the exit from the stadium, not wanting to draw any more attention than he already has, only checking to see if Mousy followed him.

I think we can start this thing pretty soon. There is a decent amount of people who already signed in. But there has to be more than just strength and intelligence tests. I need to mix this up somehow... - thought the Hokage on stage, watching his young protege leave the arena.

Next thing Maruko knew, she was being hugged by Shizuka, her only friend in a long time. She murmured a hello to Shizuka and turned her attention to the people around her, and the surrounding area. Frowning, she stuffed her hands in her pockets, and shifted her weight from one foot to the other. She disliked staying in one place for very long. While she was scanning the area, the Hokage, Ukyo or whatever his name was, gave some speech that Maruko didn't pay attention to.

Why should she? It wasn't like she had anything to do with what was going on here. She didn't really want to be taught by this guy. While Maruko was fidgeting, Shizuka told her that she actually wanted to do this. Ranking up with the Konoha ninja...not exactly my favorite past time, but what the hell. Maruko headed over to the far left, where all the other genin were putting there names down. Maruko managed to shove past a genin in front of her to write her own name down on the sheet. She stretched her arms a little bit, and rolled her neck, loping over to the middle table, and found Shizuka. "Alright. I'm game. Let's show these Leaf ninja what for."

"Now that is what I am about, Maruko-chan!*Shizuka agreed, happily as she grabbed her friend around the shoulder, and moved away from the large group, she didn't know what the tests would be, but she did feel that they would have to work hard, but finding out their over all rank in their new village wouldn't be a bad thing, especially if it let them gain some new skills and knowledge.
"You know Maruko-chan, we should be pretty good, I learned a bit more control of one of my jutsu, and you have gained some new ones, so I hope we can show each other alot more during these tests." She whispered, as she felt happy to be near the girl, and to not be alone, she still felt sad about her Sensei, but knew that he wanted her to get as strong as she could, incase they did meet in combat.
She actually ignored her darker self, and tried to enjoy the situation.

Shizuka agreed happily with her, and proceeded to drag Maruko by the shoulders away from the monster crowd. Maruko happened to see the little genin she had shoved as she was dragged away and he stuck his tongue out at her, which Maruko responded by smiling for the first time since she came to Konoha, and giving a little wave to him. Then she spun around, tripping over her feat a little as she did so, and followed Shizuka away from the table's. Maruko nodded absentmindedly at Shizuka as she rambled about how she thought they would do, then abruptly, the noise stopped. Maruko snapped to attention and turned to Shizuka. "Yeah, should be fun. Haven't fought since our little spar and I could use some practice. When do you think this thing starts?" She said, hoping that Shizuka would stop thinking about whatever it was she was thinking of.

"When the Hokage is ready to have us all examined." She replied, looking back, and thinking about how smart Ukyo was. "I think it will not be long." She added, as she stood near the wall with Maruko, looking up a little.
She felt short still, but not as short as she once did. She was built for speed, and as she grew, she was bound to get taller still.
She then looked around, and thought about one thing she could get away with, if given the chance, but wouldn't wish to get caught. "Maruko-chan, do you think I could go wolf, and you pose as an Inuzuka for a moment?" She asked in a wisper.

Maruko nodded, noticing her height compared to Shizuka's. She was a couple inches taller, she gauged. But that was because of her stupid legs. Coupled with her thiness and fragility, she looked like a very tall stick. Almost like she would blow away in the wind. Scuffing the ground with her foot, she turned to Shizuka, slouching a little bit, trying to make herself seem a little bit shorter. Shizuka had an almost shifty look on her face, peering around as if she were on the run. Maruko tried not to see the irony of what she had just thought. Then came the question. Go wolf? Why? What's the point? "Um, ok then Shizuka. I could do that. May I ask why you would want to? It seems kind of random." Maruko commented, her equally thin, pencil eyebrows knitting together in confusion.

Shizuka smiled, almost mischiviously "Well, one of Konoha's major family, is the Inuzuka, who are paired up with dogs, I was thinking we could blend in until the time came, by acting as such" She let her fangs show a little in her smile, just letting her know how mischiviously she felt.
She made sure that she was hidden in the shadows, as she waited for Maruko to give her the ok, as she thought about the proctor that had been during the first portion of the combat test of the chuunin exam. They could pull it off, if a little bit. She just wondered if anyone would question them, if they walked a bit as the disguised.
'This wilt not worketh.' Her inner Vampiress spoke with disdain.

Maruko sighed and shifted her position. She still didn't know why Shizuka wanted to do this. It didn't make sense, and Maruko was all for breaking rules, usually, but only when they were profitable. Doing it for no reason, was kind of odd. But Maruko trusted Shizuka, a little bit, enough to the point where she thought that Shizuka would know what she was doing, and not do something foolish.

Maruko nodded at Shizuka in the shadows and got ready to pretend that she was an Inuzuka. Maruko clasped her hands in front of her and stared up at the sky. It's so beautiful here...bright and full of happiness. Happiness is overrated, the snide voice said in the back of her head. Maruko gave it the answer she always did, a nice loud, resounding, "Shut the hell up."

Shizuka nodded, and smiled, as she transformed into her Black and Red Wolf form. She found that the place had alot of smells that she hadn't noticed when she was in her normal state. Her red eyes looked at Maruko, and for some odd reason, she just had to jump on her, and lick her face like an old friendly puppy. It seemed to help her when it came to pretending to be a dog.
She then looked around, trying to figure out a way to know when Maruko was talking to her, but she figured it would work.
She then got off her friend and sat next to her. She could only hope that this got them to be allowed to walk around, inconspicuiously, as they scouted out all the other ninja, and thought about what all they would do during the tests.
