Seiko had woken up before Gatsumi and had begun to meditate on the water of the lake. The cold morning winds blew past him, his blond hair flowing with it like the leaves. Each strand dance independently. His eyes remained closed as his chakra supported him above the water surface as the leaves from the tree flew around him and began to settle on the water. The flowers from the previous night had all lost their glimmer and now resembled basic lilies which floated on the water carelessly. Seiko's mind tried to block out the night before as he knew today he would have to be a teacher and not a protector or a lover, if that was the case with him. He waited for Gatsumi to wake as a scroll rested on his lap.

''Ahhh..that was a nice rest.." He whispered, the morning light merely breaking out through the open door. The warm rays of the sun warming the males tender skin, as he slowly eased himself up, and out of the bed ''Hm? Seiko?" Gatsumi muttered, before walking out of the hut, spotting Seiko almost immediately, he smiled, and began to slowly approach his Sensei, his soft hands tucked neatly into his pockets ''Am I interrupting something Sensei?" Gatsumi said coyly, before sitting near the brim of the water, not able to walk on water as he had not currently learnt that skill yet. ''What's that scroll for Sensei?" He said rather loudly, spotting the scroll atop his Masters lap. ''Are you going to teach me some jutsu from it or something?"

Seiko's eyes opened and a blast of water erupted behind him, slamming into the tree behind him hard and causing the water to shift violently. His eyes seemed a bit relaxed but his body was stiff. When his eyes met Gatsumi's he stood up and took the scroll before it hit the water and replaced it in his side pouch. He looked at his student and then nodded. "The technique before you is called Suimen Hokou no Gyou." [Art of Water Walking] Seiko said softly. "It's a trademark technique learned first here in Kirigakure. Unlike in Konoha where Kinobori is learned first. The application is a hard one so basically, don't stress if you don't get it at first." Seiko said as he closed his eyes. "Focus all your chakra to the soles of your feet and then make it cover a thin layer. The layer will support your weight on the water. However, since the water is not solid, the support will need varying changes in chakra. So you must learn to make your chakra conform to the waters movement. You're goal is to walk to me or drown. Begin."

''..Walk on water..? that sounds so godly.." Gatsumi muttered, before securing his hands into the form of the requisite hand sign. With this, he began to form chakra into his feet, a thin, minimal amount of chakra Atop the soles of his feet as he began to ease his left foot onto the water. Feeling as if it seemed sturdy, he went to jump onto his foot, but quickly fell through the water, his whole, strong lean form becoming enveloped by the water. ''Blah!" He yelped, before struggling to the surface, his face holding a rather embarrassed look. As he focused on his masters face ''Not as easy as it looks..is it Master?" He muttered to Seiko, with a large heaving sigh.

Seiko shook his head in disappointment. Not that he was expecting the boy to get the jutsu on the first try but he expected a bit more from him from his eagerness. He then looked at Gatsumi sternly and the began to speak. "Learning this jutsu will allow you to gain an advantage with those who fight on water, with water or can't walk on water. It allows you to cross a distance normally uncrossable. So learn to the find the balance soon or the water will begin to enter your system and drown another helpless victim. And no, I won't save you if you fail." Seiko said as cold as the water was. The sun was rising and would soon give the needed heat to make the water less cold but not by much.

''Yes Sensei.." Gatsumi muttered, dissapointed that he had failed. He soon began to swim back to the shore, and found himself back on solid ground. With this, he focused chakra into his feet, and looked at his Sensei, fire within his eyes. ''I will try harder Sensei.." He muttered, before concentrating the chakra to become thinner, yet far more concentrated then before. ''Here I go.." he thought, as he slowly eased his foot onto the water. And within a few seconds, he began to balance. Although he was balancing, he could not yet walk without falling into the water. ''Here I co-" He was cut off, when he tried to take a step, and fell back, his hands tightly gripping into the ground, to prevent him from going underwater again.

Seiko shook his head and then thought of a way to make Gatsumi understand the seriousness of the situation. "Gatsumi, do you remember last night? The kiss we shared? Do you want that to have been for nothing? To show no real emotion to me through your training? Do you want to regret having lost your sensei because you couldn't learn to walk on water?" Seiko taunted him darkly knowing that the newly raw emotions in both of them would be the best way to get him to take his training to a higher level then before. He knew it was a hard Technique but that Gatsumi could learn it now that he had the newly applied incentive of their yet to be identified feelings for each other.

''NO!" Gatsumi yelled, before sliding up to solid land, his lips curving down, into a concentrated frown, as he began to focus a lot more chakra into the soles of his feet then before. With that, he grimaced, and stepped onto the water, holding his balance, he sighed, before looking at his master, as if taunting him with his look. ''That should be enough, I need a good idea how to do this right.." He thought. As he stepped back onto solid land, not allowing himself another failure, granted by him falling down into the beautiful liquid ''Hm..practice makes perfect..Sensei" He muttered out softly, as he tryed to think of a way he could quickly get better at this.

Seiko shook his head and wondered how much longer it would take to learn the process. When he learned it, it took him a matter of seconds but then again he was already trained to use his chakra in many ways when he was younger. He closed his eyes and began to slowly sink into the water as a whirlpool began to form under him. He then opened his eyes and a blast of cold wind blew past him and Gatsumi. "Here's some incentive. In 3 minutes..." Seiko's eyes lit up sadly and his stance was battle hardened. "... If you don't complete this jutsu, I'll drown myself. So now, it's up to you to save me. What will you do? Can you figure out the proper formula to save me in time or let me drown?" Seiko said as he slow descended into the water. "The whirlpool below me will make sure I never escape." He said coldly.

''No..I can't let that happen!" Growling angrily, he pulled himself up onto shore, and stared at his master, a cold tinge in his eyes ''If you die, I will never forgive you Sensei.." Gatsumi said coldly, before focusing chakra into the soles of his feet, obviously intent of saving his master, he focused himself, and began to make sure the chakra was perfectly balanced out along the bottom of his sandals ''Okay..here we go.." He muttered, before taking step onto the glimmering water, his eyes holding a lack of emotion for his master, as he began to balance slowly atop the water, his balance was alright, but every time he found himself trying to step forwards, he nearly lost balance. ''Damn..I've nearly got it"
