Personality: Yusuke's most distinctive character trait is that he finds all women bossy, and not worth his time. Another distinctive character trait is that Yusuke is extremely lazy. Although he is lazy, he is actually very smart. He managed to get C's in most of his classes, even though he ends up falling asleep. Yusuke even says that if he were to actually pay attention, he would get straight A's.
Despite his annoyance to women in general, he is kind and courteous to them, and acts in fashion to a gentleman. He usually does favors to them. He dislikes fighting women in particular, and he stated that the real reason why he forfeited his match against Temari is that he doesn't want to "see a girl get hurt."
When in battle, he is very sly. If he doesn't want to be found, you won't. His favorite dish is General Tso Chicken, and his least favorite is anything with raw tomato in it.

Background: Yusuke grew up in Kiri, but was born in Iwa. He doesn't remember his time in Iwa as he and his family left shortly after he was born. His parents were Isano and Shikaru Taijo. Isano was a stay at home mother and was known to be rather brutal and strict in contrast to his father. Shikaru was a ninja who was known for his knowledge rather than his battle skills, even though he was quite good. He is where Yusuke gets most of his jutsu and smarts. Shikaru was the exact opposite of his wife. Why Shikaru married Isano is the one question he (Shikaru) asked himself everyday.
They were both killed after an Iwa ninja came to get rid of Shikaru for the village betrayal. Yusuke was at the Academy when it happened and he doesn't find out about what really happened until he was 13. Yusuke never lets it get to him because he knows that his father screwed up big time.
During his time in the Academy, he was one of the biggest slackers in his class. He and two of his friends used to go downstairs and just skip class. Despite this, Yusuke was the smartest kid in his class, even though his grades didn't show it. Yusuke stayed in the Academy fro age 5 til age 15 after having poor attendance until he turned 15, where he just wanted to "get the hell out of that hell hole". He had been offered to go straight to Chuunin after graduation, but he said that would be more boring than being at school.
Now Yusuke is by himself when doing missions, but will team up when the time asks for it.
