Description: This technique is the very basis of medical ninjutsu as it is. Concentrating chakra to their hands and putting them against the patient, the medical shinobi will heal them. Of course, the body does not just magically restore itself under the effect of their chakra, but they do use their chakra to sew up wounds, heal illness, improve blood flow, negate poison and boost tissue regeneration a lot - in other words, everything that deals with medicine. Naturally, this technique is more effective when used by a medic with more skill

Now that Ikego returned from his mission, he wanted to officially begin his training as a medic before pursuing any of the side agendas he made for himself. The first thing on the agenda, was too learn the first and foremost basics of ijutsu. He left his house to go research what this was. He had arrived at the Iwagakure library and began searching through the hundreds, maybe thousands of books that it contained. He walked in and out of the isles, searching mindlessly as he's never been in a library before in his life. The library was quiet, too quiet, even though there were only a few people, some shinobi themselves.

After searching for about twenty minutes, he finally found a section that appealed to him, that contained a vast knowledge about medicinal herbs and poisons, he picked up one of those books. Then there was another book that contained all kinds of information about Ijutsu in general, he grabs that one as well and rents them both out. He began his way back to his home, determined to learn as much as he can, being one of few medical ninja in Iwagakure. He opened the door to his house, walked through, sat on his desk and prepared to study.

He first opened the book containing knowledge about basic Ijutsu. He read the lines silently in his head, Ijutsu is based on using support and healing techniques- Blah blah blah," he scanned the rest of the pages and scanned pages after that until he found what he was looking for. The jutsu that corresponded with Ijutsu. He began with the most basic, "Shousen Jutsu. Concentrate chakra in the hands and put them against a patient. "Well, makes sense," he said. He put his hand out in front of him, "Focus chakra in my hand. Sounds easy enough," he pushed all the chakra flow from his arm to the palms of his hands and fed it a constant amount of chakra that he came from his stomach and through his arm reaching the palm of his hand. His hand felt a comfortable warmth, and it began to glow an essence of green chakra, This is it? Feels nice..." He then did the same with his other hand, both hands were radiating this green chakra.

Next he needed to test this new skill of his, a single sweat dropped and ran past his facial features. He deactivated the jutsu, and pulled out a kunai. He looked at it for a few moments, and took a deep breathe, preparing himself for what he was about to do next. He twirled the kunai on his index finger so that the blade was faced downwards and he thrusted it in his thigh. He clenched his teeth as the searing pain was flowing throughout his leg. Ignoring the pain, he concentrated on flowing chakra to his hands and the green aura appeared once more.

He quickly took out the kunai and combined both hands, left hand over the right one, and placed them on top of his wound. The chakra was warm against his thigh, and as he concentrated, he could feel his the pain of the wound disappear slowly, and he watched as the wound began to close itself up. He watched carefully and took note. First he noticed that his chakra caused the blood to harden, stopping any loss of blood. On top of the hardened blood, which at this point looked like a scab, the wound slowly began to close itself, and when both sides of the would touched, it looked as if nothing had even happened, and there wasn't any more pain.

Ikego was breathing heavy, excited he accomplished his first medical technique, an accomplishment that not too many in Iwagakure could relate to. He stood up and walked around the room, jumped on his bed, stretched, his leg was as good as new. This was his first step to becoming a renowned medical specialist, and this was the first event that led to his later on insanity. He triumphed in victory after healing his own self-inducted wound. Without any other medics in Iwagakure, he would continue learning ijutsu on his own, which, later on in his lifetime, will go terribly wrong.
He felt his triumph was well deserved, but he wanted to continue his training as soon as he can. He sat back down on his desk and continued reading through the book eager to find anything, and everything else about medical jutsu. He flipped the page, looked through the human anatomy, first reading about the largest human organ, the skin. He read everything about the epidermis and flipped the page, next reading everything he can about the basic structure and stability of the human anatomy: the skeletal system. Next wasn't as interesting, but he scanned through the digestive system nonetheless. He thought to himself for a few moments, thinking about how anything Ijutsu related could come from the digestive system, but with no ideas, he pressed on. Next was the muscular system, which he found most intriguing so far. He analyzed the dynamics, and compared it to his own body, memorizing where each and every muscle was located, and the retracting properties each muscle had and the contribution it made to the human body.
Next was the lymphatic system. He read over this structure twice, making sure he fully understood its system in the human anatomy, "Lymph nodes generally occur in groups along the larger lymphatic vessels. They are distributed throughout the body, but they lack the tissues of the central nervous system. All lymph nodes have the primary function of the production of lymphocytes, which help defend the body against microorganisms and against harmful foreign particles and debris from lymph before it is returned to the blood stream."
He paused for a second and looked over at the poisonous plant he obtained last mission, "Hmm...I bet you could tamper with this system and over power it, making it so even poisonous wouldn't have any effect," his eyes returned to the pages before him. Next was the endocrine system. This system had a huge impact on a person's growth, and immune system. Even more surgical possibilities ran through his mind.
Next was the nervous system. He figured that if a medical ninja was to use Ijutsu for combat, that would be a perfect way of rendering down an opponent or opponents. Later on he would find out that he's right and that there was already a technique developed for that.
He then researched the cardiovascular system, which was the flow of blood through a human's body. He scanned the last three quickly which was the urinary system, and the male and female reproductive system.
This was a lot of information to take in, but his new-found passion for the medical arts allowed him to basically memorize everything about the human anatomy. His mind ran through a number of possibilities with what one can do to enhance the human body. After he flipped the page, the page on the left was a detailed diagram of the human's chakra system and the right was detail about it.
"To perform techniques, ninja need to use their chakra. Chakra comes from two places: (1) the body energy inherent in the trillions of their cells and (2) the mental & spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. To perform a jutsu, the ninja will bring out and release these two energies. The amount of chakra required for a technique will vary depending upon its size and complexity. Each ninja has the potential to better utilize an elemental Ninjutsu style. For more on elemental chakra and jutsu, click here. For Taijutsu the ninja does not need to necessarily use chakra, as some attacks merely use the stamina required to carry out the attack. For Ninjutsu the ninja's chakra control will determine how much chakra is used on the technique. For ninja with excellent chakra control, they will use the minimum amount with nothing wasted. For ninja with poor chakra control, they will expend more chakra than needed to accomplish their jutsu.
Chakra flows through the body's chakra circulatory system. On a more microscopic level is these channels connecting all the vital points on the body. These small channel pathways travel between the cells of the body. They carry the generated chakra and allow the ninja to mold it. If these channels are severed, it is beyond the ability of even skilled medical ninja to repair. On the large scale the chakra circulatory system travels throughout the body and around the internal organs also responsible for creating chakra. This system includes 361 tenketsu, which are tiny pin points through which the chakra flows. The chakra flow can be increased or decreased by manipulating these tenketsu. The chakra circulatory system is only visible through the use of the Byakugan. The Sharingan can see general chakra flow, but not the internal system itself. The Byakugan and the Hyuuga clan's Juuken (Gentle Fist) attack style allows them to eject their chakra from their hands into the tenketsu of their opponents. This pressure will cause the tenketsu to close and block the flow of chakra. With enough tenketsu closed, the ninja's chakra flow will be almost nothing, eliminating their ability to use jutsu. Also because the system travels throughout the body and around the internal organs, pressure done against the tenketsu will also damage nearby organs. Because a ninja can not train and strengthen their internal organs, such attacks can be devastating," Ikego squinted in thought with the profound information before him, "Hyuuga's specialty is to attack internal organs and the chakra system? Hmm..." he began to think about the possibilities of research on a Hyuuga, but he shook the thought out of his head. He didn't realize it, but this new passion for Ijutsu had begun twisting his mind.
He flipped the page and next read about the eight gates, "In addition to the tenketsu, the chakra circulatory system houses eight valves responsible for regulating the flow of chakra. The Hachimon or eight gates are located along the spine, the heart and in the ninja's head. It is possible to force the body to open these gates, which allows the ninja to release ten times the usual amount of power. Unfortunately such power comes at a price, as each subsequent gate is opened, the ninja increases the damage to their body and comes closer to death. For this reason gate opening has been deemed Kinjutsu. If all eight gates are opened, the ninja gains power that surpasses the Hokage at the cost of their own life. Also even if the ninja opens fewer gates, if they do not strike a finishing blow against their opponent, they will be severely weakened and very defenseless to a counter attack. It is also unclear whether the ninja has to open all the gates in order, of if they can open a later gate and bypass the previous ones," and the res was followed by information on each individual gate.
