Appearance: Kinserei is of average height and build. He has dark skin, onyx colored eyes, and long black hair which he keeps in dreads. He has has cross shaped birthmark on the back of his neck. He wears a loose green t-shirt, and tight denim pants. He has a leather belt which holds his puppet scrolls, and a pouch which holds his tools.

Personality: Kinserei is very inventive, and rather cautious. He avoids direct confrontation if he can, and if possible he avoids battles he knows he can't win. Despite this he is curious, and adventurous. He enjoys pushing the limits of his puppet mechanisms. He enjoys training with his puppets, and also enjoys spending time with friends.
He's terribley impatient, except when it comes to his puppets. Every puppet is a labor of love, and except for his Tanzer puppets he gets highly upset if one is badly damaged in a battle. He loves food, particularly sweets, and is easily distracted by food vendors.
Due to events in Iwagakure, he has become slightly cold, and his curiosity has taken a darker turn. He is slightly obsessed with the guren, but has no clue how to proceed and discover their secrets. He also has an underlying dislike of the mysterious clan, due to the actions of one of the clansmen. His hatred knows only one exception, an older shinobi who treated him with kindness and respect, and also protected him from the less friendly clansmen.

This web has chakra running through it, so an average shinobi will be unable to break out of it.

Background: Being born in the lightning village, it is very unfortunate that Kinserei hated the sound of thunder growing up. To keep him calm, his grandfather would tell him stories.
His grandfather had traveled the world, visiting every great ninja village. Having been born in a non ninja village, he was raised a toy maker. Once he saw the market of war, he began selling puppets to fuel all the ninja armies. His puppetry skills were rather good, but he never became very famous. He kept a leather bound notebook, which overflowed with diagrams for puppets and puppet parts. The young Kinserei was infinitely fascinated by the drawing, and would try to make his own, of course being young his designs were severely flawed and childish. But his grandfather cheered him on.
Kinserei's parents were both med-ninja. He was raised knowing that his parents would be in the fray of battle, treating the wounded and defending the sick. Knowing that they had a son, the couple was assigned rather low risk missions, usually volunteering at hospitals in friendly or neutral territory. But they were still gone quite a bit. Kinserei didn't mind, he had his grandfather.
Kinserei learned everything his grandfather knew about toy design, which helped him better understand how his grandfather made puppets. Each thing he created was a labor of love, and he put his heart and soul into it, just like his grandfather. Until the day that his grandfather's heart gave out.
Having spent so much time with him, Kinserei took his grandfather's death rather hard. It was then that he learned that his grandfather had left him a large number of unsold puppets. Knowing that they they had been made by machines, he was at first posed on destroying them, knowing that they didn't have any heart or soul, which a artist puts into his work. Instead he opted to use them for his ninja training. He entered the ninja acadamy a year late, but thrived in his studies, knowing that his grandfather's philosophy for creating puppets was the one he followed throughout his life. Put your heart and soul into it.
He tried as hard as he possibly could. Every thing he did he would give it his best every time. He wasn't an A+ student, nor was he a teachers pet. He was just a good kid who gave his all, and the teachers and students respected him for that.
After graduating from the academy, he began recreating the puppets from his grandfather's notebook. He had been left a large amount of money, and was alone most of the time, so he had free reign.
After recreating Schrei and Ruf, he began to work on his own designs, based on nature. He has yet to perfect these puppets however.
On a routine trip to Iwa, Kinserei encountered members of the Guren clan. Their mysterious ways and plant-like jutsu intrigued him, but his curiousity led to what he considers a near death experience, even if his life was never in danger. Since then he has had this dark thirst for power, he craves it. He has begun researching the very limits of puppetry, and he know longer cares if others get hurt in the process. All he wants is to never feel the fear of his life ending, ever again.
