Name: Hishou - Art of Flight

Description: The shinobi can alter the substance of their chakra to control how much gravity affects them. This way they can control their altitude by lowering or raising their "weight". They can also use their chakra as two "jets" which shoot out their feet, controlling their speed. Using this technique the shinobi is able to fly! The Art of Flight requires only a small amount of chakra more than water walking because altering the effect gravity has on them doesn't expend any chakra. The only part of this technique that uses up chakra is the jet part. The maximum speed the user can usually attain is triple their run speed. Flying is extremely useful for traveling, and a skilled flyer can battle while in the air. Draw backs are that it's not very good for stealth by itself, but if used in conjunction with the art of camouflage, the user can infiltrate even the highest walls. Remember: flying too high results in lack of oxygen, freezing to death, air pressure change, or even burning up in the atmosphere. Be careful! Heh...well, there's got to be some way to get airborne. I created it for this reason. I was just in a fight where these Otaki were flying around on water discs, and then there was a 300 ft. deep flood. I can only jump so high. That's what made me realize I needed some way to fly...
Could I create a water jutsu that involves making dense mist clouds that would act like flying carpets or something? If you have an ability to manipulate some sort of substance ( aburame/sand/otaki) you can make some sort of platform to allow flight, but its more like levitation. There is no allowed Dragon ball z flight. If you need to you can create a summon that flies and ride it, or like kibaku nendos, make some sort of elemental contruct ( bird) that can fly and ride it _________________

Hmm its kinda already made. Talk to Sucal, he made an advanced form of waterwalking that allows one to walk on mist and clouds. you wouldnt be technically flying, but you could always perform a kirigakure no jutsu and climb it into the sky. I wouldnt worry to much about it, if someone flies, they can't do all too much to you, plus elemental attacks and range attacks will likely force them down. If my mizunaka uses his sand to stay airborn, one could always simply hit me with a water tech to slowly cause me to decend, or use fire jutsu to burn the air around me, causing me to need to decend in order to find breathable air. ( the thin air of a higher altitude would burn up quickly) _________________

This is unreasonable because chakra is not corporeal enough to provide any decent propulsion. It would be like a purely air-based turbine and, as we all know, the amount of air that passes through such is incredibly high _________________

Why do I have to keep reminding everyone that canon says flight is a big no-no? Even in fillers which are known to majorly fuck canon over, flight was only achieved via wings or mechanical devices. Not f-ing chakra propulsion.
