Description: This is a great MMORPG/Action/Arcade game that I have stumbled upon. I just thought maybe you guys would be interested and we could form our own guild!
The game is based on the famous PotC movies. Gameplay is relatively simple, but highly addictive. There are storyline quests for those who want them. There are two main parts of the game: on land and on the high seas.
Land: This is your average RPG/TPS kind of gameplay. There are six weapons in total available in the game: cutlass, pistol, voodoo doll (magic kind of thing), dagger (alternative to cutlass), grenades and staff (alternative to voodoo, much more powerful). What you do is complete quests, hunt monsters, you can also PvP with other players etc.
Sea: This is a not so average RPG/TPS/FPS/Arcade kind of gameplay. You can choose whether to command your own ship or join someone's crew. When you are a crew member, you can (and supposed to) man cannons and shoot them at your enemies. When the ships are damaged enough, some of them may be boarded (this part is practically the same as when on land).
RPG system: There are different kinds of levels. "Notoriety" is your basic level, it increases for beating enemies, sinking ships, completing quests, almost everything you do. There are also skill levels: on land these are cutlass, pistol, voodoo doll, dagger, grenade and staff. They grow when you beat enemies using the corresponding weapon, and show how good you are at using it. There are special abilities available for each kind of weapon. There are also two sea skills: sailing and cannoneer.

I hated the movie and video games, so I wouldn't be surprised if I hated this. I might give it a whirl. How big is the download?
